    Dave Snake Sabo on ZP Theart in 2018 - "It's such a welcome change. He is just a naturally positive guy. I know him only for the last few years, and it's really difficult to find that guy in a bad mood. He is one of those people who has such a positive outlook on everything, it's infectious. It has a great effect on those around him. He seems to be always about the group - like, "What's best for all of us?", not "What's best for me as the singer of Skid Row?" Like, "What can we do to make Skid Row more visible, more relevant, more accessible, more successful. It's always about us - "What can we do?" It's never singular. He's not self-serving at all. He's also extremely respectful of our history, and does his best to honor that every night on stage. I admire that a lot. People could take this position and they could utilize it strictly for their own personal gain and not be concerned with the legacy or the longevity of the band itself. It's not a springboard for his ego; it's an outlet for his art." I wonder how long this will last with Erik!?!

    Excellent interview! These guys really deserve some props IMO. First off, bringing in a young stud like Erik Gronwall is just amazing and not something many bands like them would do. Second, I think it's also exceptional to work with a producer and accept their open feedback at this point in their careers. I mean, I feel like most bands that have been around that long just think they know everything and often aren't willing to listen to feedback from a producer....And that's why those bands often stray from what made them popular to begin with. I loved their first couple albums but this is a band that fell off my radar the past 25 years or so. I love the new single though and they definitely have my attention again. Looking forward to the new album and hoping it will be the first of many with Erik. I really think these guys could have a career resurgence of sorts.

    I’ve heard some of the new SR album and it’s fantastic i think a lot of people have piped down quite abit about Sebastian being the only singer for skid row and yes if you look at it nobody could have done those three albums like he could given his vocal range back in the day however I often wonder if the singers they had post Bach era felt the pressure to live up to his tine in skid row? I mean Johnny solinger I think did a fantastic job doing the new albums at the time I hope he’s up there having a great time

    Sebastian Bach, a B league? Everybody has their prime and Bach is one of the best in his hey days, no doubt about that especially for the Skids he is now 54 and still can deliver some great tunes and hitting high notes perfectly. Erik, only 35 is a great guy but to compare with Bach i would say its a little bit too early and IMO, he is a perfect fit for Skid Row AFTER Sebastian Bach. Though I very much respect your opinion.

    Does anyone else remember that they gave the same spiel and sang the praises of ZP just as loudly when they first hired him, he was exactly what they were looking for and the greatest singer in the history of singers as far as they were concerned LMAO. He also worked with them digitally from his home in the UK so it is not the first time they’ve done that with the singer lol, Rachel has a very selective memory for most things. For the last 30 years they’ve been looking for a voice to replace Sebastian Bach, and now they have found the one who is almost the same voice as Sebastian Bach… But not quite!! It is amazing how everyone hate on Sebastian for being the problem in this band, but he has had a consistent band for many many years wow skid row has been changing lead singers like most people change underwear for the last 30 years. Do not get me wrong, Sebastian is no angel and does have his problems but he is not the problem with this band after a while when the same situation keeps reoccurring Jake and Rachel have to look in the mirror and realize the only constant in the band beyond Scotty has been themselves therefore the problem has to reside somewhere other than their lead singers. Until Jake and Rachel come to this realization Skid Row is going to be nothing but a cover band of itself, which is the most embarrassing thing they could be.

  • @shellybean9

    @shellybean9

    Who the heck is Jake? You mean Snake? The only embarrassing thing would be if they got Sebastian back. All the lead singers just says to me that they'd rather have ANYONE BUT Bach. That's all I ever got out of that. Btw you do know the definition of a cover band right? A cover band is a band that covers other peoples songs, they are doing songs that they wrote, so how are they a cover band?, and tribute band btw means the same thing, so don't go there. Sebastian on the other hand is doing songs somebody else wrote and now very badly, so in this scenario, he'd technically be the cover band.

    How do you not realize that the numerous singers just say they'd rather have ANYONE BUT Bach? That's all I've ever gotten from that. He was a nightmare to work with even other bands saw what Skid Row had to put up with when they toured together. I've seen horror story interviews about him from numerous musicians. It wasn't just the band who thought he was an obnoxious ass, other musicians saw it too. They said that back then it sometimes cost more to keep him out of jail than what the gig paid.
