To the folks at Metal Edge, I want to share this story. I was a mediocre student from elementary through high school. I knew I wanted to go to college, but I knew how much reading was required and I hated reading. I loved everything about hair and glam metal in the 80s, and you guys kept me posted on all the coolest stuff. I started buying your magazines and I would blaze through them and read them several times. I learned to love to read because of your magazine. BTW, I have a Masters Degree in History and I've been teaching at a community college for 22 years. Metal Edge was part of my journey.

The first show with Erik looked and sounded great but from the second show on Erik has been phenomenal!

Great interview... Skids alive again! So happy about the new singer.

This is cool. I've been just a causal fan of Skid Row....but I've been a huge fan of Erik Gronwall and H.E.A.T. Erik is easily one of the best frontmen in rock today and I've had the opportunity to interact with him a few times and he's one of the most humble and sincere guys you could ever want to meet. I've got to say that I'm moving from being a casual Skid Row fan to becoming a big fan. I'm really excited to see what they can do with Erik. I have to say also that I think the Skids have gotten a bad wrap with their singer changes IMO and people think they're bad guys or something. All I can say is that I've been watching plenty of interviews with Snake and Rachel and they both seem like super guys. They don't seem like ego maniacs or something like maybe they've been pictured in the media at times. Maybe it's simply that they want to get back to the level they used to be at and have a high bar and they want a singer that wants the same thing? Whatever the case, it's nice to see Erik getting the recognition he deserves and it's going to be fun seeing what Skid Row can do with him. Hopefully this combo sticks together for a long time and we get a new era of Skid Row!

As a Skid Row fan from the beginning, I love their new lineup and album. This is Skid Row, baby!

He went on to bigger and better things. Heat were a bit poppy. Skid Row is way more heavy.

No one talks about the fact that Skid Row was offered the Support spot on the FIRST Kiss reunion tour in 96 and the band didn't wanna do it because they wanted to take a break EXCEPT for Sebastian and that's what led to the situation that got him fired. Baz being such a huge Kiss fan was pissed about. I know the rest of the band were Kiss fans too so, when you get offered something like that why would you not just do it. Fast forward 4 years or so. They get Solinger in the band and relaunch and first thing they do is open for Kiss on the "farewell" tour. What a bitch slap to Baz lol

Average tenure for skid row singers since the departure of Sebastian Bach Is 6.5 years but that is skewed becauseJohnny solinger was there for quite a while. The last few guys only were in for a cup of coffee. Hopefully this person will be in the fold for longer than a cup of coffee

Stay positive. I can see Erik singing on multiple Skid Row albums in the future.

See, over the years, it's not that the fans didn't like any new singer because they wanted Baz, they wanted the right singer. Now they have it and the fans love it. At this point, Baz who. AND, although Baz is the man, ne NEVER sang these tunes in pitch like Erik. Not saying he's better, but his pitch is WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than Bach's ever was.
