This is a one-off, but after setting myself the challenge of surviving 20 laps of Swaffham against a full field of 23 AI opponents I wondered what it would be like to view the race from a standpoint that covered the whole track. The video is in two parts, each the full race but from opposite ends of the track. Obviously, because of the necessary camera height and tilt to fit everything in, you’re not that close to the action, but I’m glad to say you can still make out what’s going on even at the far end of each shot.
The race itself was good and the winning margin comfortable, but I very carelessly tangled myself in the post and wire on (I think) the penultimate lap. Other than that it was fine, with not much damage sustained despite delivering a couple of decent follow-ins. Overall I was quite pleased with those - they were follow-ins as I like to see them in real banger racing, taking the target in but backing off in time to continue racing.
