This was an opportunity I could not pass up. This is a 2017 Triumph Street Scrambler 900 with the ICONIC bonneville engine that sadly saw its demise at the expense of a London van.
A year on it has a chance of a second life!
Stay tuned to see me get it back on the road and eventually customise this machine

I know this is an older video, but I'd like to say that it was the first inspiration for me to buy my own Scrambler 900. So thanks for that! Rode from Brasília (Brazil) to Ushuaia and back on it.

So nice to see someone actually clean a bike before they start working on it. It makes me crazy when people are working on filthy machines. It only takes a few minutes to get a majority of the grime off a bike/car/boat. Great video.

Before you start an engine that's been sitting, you should pull the ignition lead(s) off and spin the engine up on the starter to prime the engine with the fresh oil you've added.

Obe of the best exhaust mods is to chop the cat out and then drill the baffles from the tail pipes. This leaves it louder but not too loud and it retains the tone of the stock pipes.

Interested to follow this. I'm almost finished rebuilding a stolen recovered vandalised 2004 T100 I picked up late last year. I attempted to film it but my camera ran out of battery quite early in the dismantling process, while removing the smashed headlight. I've almost finished rebuilding it. I just need to make a couple of brackets for an older Motogadget Motoscope light/ Motosign dash and M-Unit Blue. Currently re-wiring it for the M-Unit.

If it were mine, I'd put a downswept exhaust system on it from one of the other Bonneville twins. I laid my Speed Twin down in a freak mounting up accident, where the factory shifter position was too high and the bike shifted into 1st gear when I stepped on the footpeg to swing my leg over the seat. It's since been adjusted down out of the way to the next spline on the shaft to provide my huge riding boots clearance. Point being, the exhaust wasn't damaged nor was anything else except the front turn signal. The factory exhaust layout on the scramblers is all about looks and isn't very practical. Putting another upswept system on, is just setting yourself up for more damage. Highway bars look killer on ALL Bonnevilles. Do yourself a favor and just get the Hepco&Becker kit, it's by far the highest quality available. The black ones are super low profile and most people assume they're original equipment. Enjoy your parallel twin!

@@jishh Lotta people spend big bucks on fancy aftermarket exhaust systems, so original factory pipes are often available new/uesd real cheap. Personally, I've chosen to spend elsewhere on my '22 Speed Twin. The factory exhaust is outstanding and just needed the cat delete British Customs compitition X-pipe installed and the baffles removed from the factory mufflers. Never pops or sputters at any throttle position or speed even on decel. IMHO most aftermarket exhaust systems for Bonneville twins aren't worth it.
