My first job was as a gift wrapper at Brocks, the fancy department store. Three pieces of tape allowed, 1/2 inch overlap maximum allowed, and yes, there was training. it was 50 years ago but I remember it like yesterday. 😆

What is 8n all edges mean? Lol I’m 70 and I should have watched professional people wrap!! I do wrap some beautiful packages though!!!

I drove my husbands family crazy with the fact that I managed to find the exact same wrapping paper every year for 10 years straight at least! They swore I bought a truckload and stashed it in the basement! Lol!

I wrap as I purchase gifts. It’s helped me in the past because I’m notorious for being sick on Christmas. I couldn’t imagine waiting to the last second and having that burden.

You’re HILARIOUS. I always debate with myself EVERY year if I got enough… while I count 20+ gifts for my only child. I did start wrapping stocking stuff, more so anything that isn’t edible, and that was pricey but so small! You’re such a bright light during this holiday season! Thanks for being you!

Haha I do the exact same thing with my 2 kiddos!! I never think I have enough and then I get everything out and they each have about 30 things! I also wrap the stocking items because I love for them to have a ton of stuff to open!

You’re the one that taught me to lay multiple gifts down and fold over the paper!! I wrapped yesterday and thought of you!! 🎄 I got one of those paper cutters for free with my (dreadful) Walmart pickup!!

I Love and hate wrapping Christmas gifts 🤣 I have 4 kids also and I can't tell you how many times I find myself searching for my tape or scissors 🤣 I starts to question of I even brought 5 pair of scissors and 14 rolls of tape with me 🤣🤣 oh and the 45 pens 🖋️ 🤣🤣

My ex husband's mom used to wrap all the gifts in stocking. But her stocking gifts were like the big attraction. They were amazing.cute little notes.

I am wrapping too! My least favorite part of gift giving! My anniversary is on the 21st and I didn’t get anything for my husband; what could he need/want after 36 years! Sorry about wrapping, when my 5 kids were younger they would sneak out of bed after Santa came and would rummage through the loot to see how many gifts they got! So one year, Santa was very clever and swapped the wrapping paper and didn’t use name tags. He wrapped the boys gifts in “girlie” paper and the boys stuff in “boyish” paper. He then hid a clue in each of their stockings so they could figure out which gifts belonged to them! It was so much for for us parents. They were so confused when they realized that what they thought were their gifts belonged to a sibling! Merry Christmas.

Happy to say, I’m almost all done wrapping. I am thankful that I did everything early, as I’m an LPN and I work in a Doctors office affiliated with a hospital and we are being deployed to the hospital at least once a week. So, talk about busy, I’m very busy. Lol but, must care for the patients!

“Just keep going. Just keep going”………Moms all over muttering the same mantra! Went to wrap gifts and carried a big box that had the gift and all my tags and spools of ribbon in it to my wrapping spot. Wrapped that gift first and then spent a good 27 minutes looking for the tags and ribbon until it dawned on me I never took them out of the dang box. Yep, unwrapped it and there they were! Just keep going! Merry Christmas!

You always bring back precious memories. You make me smile, laugh and sometimes cry (good cry) And your tree is beautiful in a minimalist sort of way, but at least you decorated no matter how big or small...it's still from the heart.

I’m with you Kim, my husband and my mom kept saying what do you want for Christmas but I’m just grateful that we bought our house this year and my health is good now. I got the best gift last month when I gave birth to my beautiful 7 lb 9 oz baby girl 🤍 I still have yet to even finish my shopping, hoping to get it done today! Start wrapping tomorrow and hopefully have it done by Monday because I return back to work Tuesday and I don’t want to be shopping or wrapping once I’m back at work lol.

Girl, learn to say no! Don't burn yourself out. You're not obligated to host everything just because you have a big house. I hope you're doing things that you want to. I've worked with my therapist this year to set healthy boundaries and it has been amazing.

My family has traveled back to Oregon to visit my parents and relatives. The trip has been planned for the last year, but we came in early for my grandpa's funeral. So now we have an extended trip at my parents. My girls are having a blast, but my husband and I are missing our own bed and space. We didn't do much for gifts since we had to travel, but I keep reminding myself that they are making memories.

I went from watching your Christmas wrapping videos on Christmas morning while I waited for my parents to wake up to playing them while I wrap gifts in my college apartment😌 how the time flies

O my gosh! Every time you get scared it's my favorite! I crack up so hard! 🤣

My in laws would come to our house and bring Christmas eve dinner. After dinner we would tuck the kids in bed and all heck would come out. We would wrap Christmas 🎁 until 4 to 6 am!!!! So we would get to bed and the kids would be getting up at the same time. My in laws are gone now and the kids are in there 40s and the baby just turned 30 this year but you still have brought back the memories. Thank you 😊

I think this is a great idea. My sister has 5 children and she does this...I do symbols bc I only have 2 children. My sister said there's NO way she'd remember 5 symbols! Lol I place a small piece of paper w/the child's symbol under their pillows. They LOVE that!

Hi Kim, My parents used to wrap some of the gifts in our stockings not all of them. If my sisters and I got up before my parents we were allowed to open our stockings with out them. They got to stay in bed a little longer and we were busy playing with our stocking presents. Great plan so I did it with my kids. We also found that if we left one toy unwrapped for each child they would play with it until we woke up. Hugs and blessings

I work at a toy store and we offer complimentary gift wrapping year round. Of course it’s even more popular during the holidays but we get asked ALL THE TIME if we take courses or get training to be able to wrap such varying items in all shapes and sizes!
