I love her but would like to point out this is what goes on in SOME womens heads….not mine. This could just as easily been whats going on in a mans head…if he was making cookies. I really dont like being popped in a ‘gender box’ based on someone talking about baking !! Kinda sexist to be fair.

I live in the Countryside and I just associate molasses farming, lol

A good idea for the extra muffin cups… if serving a crowd…fill them with homemade macaroni and cheese…bake it… individual servings…and they are adorable! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

You are such fun to watch! Those marshmallow bits can be bought on Amazon in large bulk bags! Super cheap. FYI, Mace is the outer shell of the Nutmeg nut. It has a lovely citrusy aroma and a different, more mild flavor than nutmeg. it is a standard ingredient in my fruitcake recipe and would not be the same without it.

Exactly. You can use it anywhere nutmeg is called for. Don't expect the same punch, but it is quite lovely in cookies, sprinkled on egg custard, rice pudding, etc.

I am so appreciative of watching this. After doing tons of holiday cooking and baking, I feel like I'm Mrs. Christmas. So it's great to see someone who I can relate to. Cookies take a lot longer than people think. And everything you've run into I've run into. Oven issues, getting the wrong ingredients, mixer issues,interruptions and well this is like ME when I cook. Christmas without Moms willing to do this just not Christmas. Great job. Happy Holidays!

Spritz Cookies! My mom made these ALL the time when we were kids. They aren't common, but they are SO good! My mom had the hand crank "machine", that came with several metal design plates. She would separate the dough and put in food coloring, which makes the cookies very festive looking. The cookies are just as yummy rolled into little balls. I know, because that is what I did. I hated that cookie machine. Haha. LOVE your vlogs!! Keep on baking! Happy New Year!
