I got the same set up but with a PS4. Looks like since you're not connected with an optical cable, your 906s still couldn't decode into Dolby separation exactly but with the PS5s sound settings, I'm curious if it made a difference compared to a PS4? Which one sounds better? I know even without the Dolby Decode sound, the 906's still do a killer job anyways. Good vid bro, keep it up!

Thanks for the comment bro much appreciated 😁✊🏽 so I used the 906 previously with the PS4 and it was good via optical audio connection. With the PS5 and no optical audio output connection it’s all done via the system software it can allow me to select how many speakers and the distance they are to me and the tv to create the perfect sound effect depending on room size and the sound system. I think the sound was more surround due to the way the PS5 can output the audio. If you pair the PS5 to some Dolby Atmos Speakers and system that would be pretty next level surround. But paired with the 906 it’s an amazing surround sound especially with the bass cranked it’s still crystal clear audio and surround effect you get 👌

I got a question how did you connect those speakers on your tv? Bcs you need a mini jack port which those tv's dont have nowadays only HDMI ACR or Optical ports.

Hi so at the back of the Logitech system it has an Optical Audio Connector. I used an opcital audio cable to connect from the Logitech to the rear of the TV which has an Optical Audio output connection. Hello! Did you turn on Dolby or dts in the ps5 audio settings? Because if it's in linear pcm you don't get real surround from the speakers. I have a big problem with my set up, philips 65oled935 TV ps5 and Logitech z906 can't handle dts from the ps5... it is a constant crackling sound from the speakers.. haven't experienced this with the ps4... I have to use Dolby that gives more delay and lower sound on the z906 but it gives more sound on the bowers and Wilkins sound bar that's integrated on the TV...

Hi sorry late replies I was looking into the PS5 for the settings you mentioned above. As of yesterday Sony have released a firmware update to the PS5 enabling 3D Audio Surround sound. Now the issue with the Logitech system, because its connected via HDMI the PS5 wont allow me to use the controller to calibrate the distance from the TV to where I'm sitting for optimal 3D surround Sound. How ever you can still enable the 3D audio new feature. I have tried it on the Logitech and my Philips Hue TV and it works amazingly pretty well. Hopefully with the new firmware update you shouldn't get any more crackling noises. Play around wit the 3D surround options and hopefully it works all well for you. 👏

Hi, So basically put optical cable on tv and then to Logitech? Any setup in console menu?My tv is Sony x85j and it's decode DTS and Dolby.. I'm thinking about this Logitech 5.1 system, because it's quality for price.

Hi, so yes basically use an optical cable from you TV to the Logitech Sound System as PS5 has no optical audio output. Then you can adjust the settings within the PS5 audio output, where you can change 3D surround etc and many other features. The Logitech Z906 sound system is amazing value especially if you can get it on Black Friday deals.

Did you connect the speakers straight to the ps5 using an adaptor or did you connect to the tv?

I'm looking into this setup for my Xbox Series X, but just like PS5 it doesn't have optical. So did you connect the Logitech via optical to the TV? Do you not get noticeable audio delay/lag this way?

Hi , yes unfortunately both PS% and X Box don't have optical audio connections only HDMI. TBH I haven't noticed much difference or any sound delays. If their are any its barely noticeable. The sound is crystal clear the bass is loud sometimes too loud and the system does a good job of replicating surround sound. You wont be disappointed especially using this for gaming of movie watching.

It depends on the TV. Check online if your TV can passthrough pcm 5.1. My Sony X90K will downmix pcm to 2.1 if I set it to output pcm, or it'll change it to Dolby Digital and both options have audio lag. But if you set your TV to passthrough and set the PS5 audio to DTS, there's barely any audio delay at all.

how did u screw the speakers to the brackets? im struggling to find screws that fit. i ordered some on ebay, hopefully they will fit. otherwise, coudlnt agree more, speakers are crazy

Hi so the screws that were provided in the speaker stand I purchased from Amazon didn’t quite fit as the back of the speaker size hole is slightly different. Is the Z906 considered an AV Amplifier though? I just don’t want to fuck anything up. I have a PS5 and the Z906.

The Z906 has a built in Amplifier in the Subwoofer enclosure. I’ve had no issues playing PS5 with the sound system. It’s always good fun to change the settings in the PS5 especially the 3D Surround sound and see what works best for you 👌

@@kavthegamer I’ve been having a weird issue with my z906 and PS5. I had to buy an audio splitter in order to connect the z906 to the ps5 because the ps5 doesn’t have an optical out. I get 5.1 audio perfectly fine with my games, Netflix and prime video, but for some odd reason HBO max and some other streaming services do not play 5.1 audio, they only play stereo. I’ve tried everything on the HBO max app. Nothing works. Do you think I has something to do with the audio splitter? Am I losing 5.1 through the audio splitter or is it on HBO max’s end? HBO max played 5.1 audio fine when I had my PS4 with my z906, I didn’t need a splitter then because the PS4 has an optical put. This is just extremely annoying and I don’t know why it’s happening.

@@xXxT0XiiKxXx yeah unfortunately for some reasons Sony didn’t add a Optical Audio output on the PS5. I’ve got an optical audio connection from the Z906 to my Samsung TV. On the TV I’ve turned off the tv speakers so all sound comes from the Z906. My PS5 is connected to the TV via HDMI. If your not getting full 5.1 channel from HBO max that could be due to the channel not broadcasting in that audio format. Some movies on Netflix will have 5.1 others may not. Same way as some movies you can watch 4K or UHD and some they don’t. I guess HBO max are not outputting in 5.1 not surround sound. Don’t think their is anything wrong with your connections or system.

@@kavthegamer but what’s weird is that 5.1 audio on HBO max was working perfectly fine when my PS4 was connected to my z906. Now all of a sudden all I get from HBO is stereo. It’s very annoying.

Thanks my man, I had the Z906 since the PS4 era and I did not know this was possible. You saved me from spending £80 on the PS5 3D Pulse headset, I ordered an Optical cable from eBay(£2.69) and hooked it up today, and WOW just like you said. It's all come at the most perfect time because I am looking forward to playing the greatest game of all time The Last Of Us Part 1 and what an experience it is now going to be! Thank you! How did you figure this out? I would have given up once I found that there was no Optical connection at the back of the PS5! UK Brother

Glad I helped you out 🙌😁 the system is awesome love playing games on it in surround sound and the bass just shatters the entire room. At first I didn’t know the PS5 had no optical audio connection weird for a next gen console to not feature this. I currently also use the PS4 7.1 surround sound headset it works well. I’ve never tried the PS5 pulse headphones for £80 I stick with the PS4 headset. It’s easy to set up optical into the Z906 then into TV and bang your Z906 had a new lease of like for gaming on the PS5, enjoy 😁

@@kavthegamer Kav there was one more question I forgot to ask you, did you find it hard to put the Optical cable into the back of your tv? I put mine in the correct way but it was hard to find the alignment on my Sony Bravia tv, eventually, it clicked in place! I had no problem with the other end going into the Z906. If an Optical cable was the same brand as your tv it would be made to just slot in but unfortunately, accessories are made by other companies. It was like a wrestling match I did not want to damage anything lol!

@@RICHY8791 haha yeah I had the same isssue with my TV the optical audio connection was under the panel of the TV was a bit fiddly to fit it. I used a different branded optical audio cable they all pretty much do the same job. They only connect one way once it’s all lined up.

I am a bit of a perfectionist, I thought it was me not doing things correctly, so I kept pulling the Optical cable out and trying to put it back in without any resistance, what I noticed is that after about 20 times of trying the tv optical slot loosened up and the connection became easy, I have heard that can happen, the newness of something just needs to wear in.

You can use AUX but with most new TV Optical Audio connector would be better

Ese no es sonido envolvente solamente es audio estéreo emulado, deveria estar prendido el decodificador en el logitech para eso necesitas conectarlo a la tv atravez de la entrada optica y usar la opción de trasferencia en la tv para que pase el audio sin tocar y lo dirija al logintesh así lo tengo configurado en mi ps4 slim

Hi, as long as your monitor has an optical audio connection yes you can. The PS5 doesn’t have any optical audio connections. So your TV/Monitor will connect to the Logitech via optical audio.

hello, can you get real 5.1? Does the "decode" function turn on in the z906 console?

Hi, on the Logitech system you can enable the virtual 3D surround sound. Which is pretty much 5.1 channel. Or within the PS5 audio settings you can make some slight adjustments and changes to the output as its being used with optical audio and home cinema system setup. Rather then traditional TV output speakers.

Hi Thank You, glad you enjoyed the video. So the only connections on the back of the system is a Optical Audio. If you have a monitor which supports optical audio then yes. But if your using the monitor for gaming on PC/watching movies etc. Then you can connect the sound system direct into your PC at the back if your motherboard has an Optical Audio Output connection. This is a Optical Audio to HDMI Converter: www.amazon.co.uk/Audio-Optical-Output-Adapter-SONOS/dp/B07XL7BYHH I have not tried this product so I cant say 100% will work. Hope this helps. :)

and 3d pulse headset sound worst than sounpeats air 3, isnt worth 3d tempest for my taste,

lol youre using stereo 3d, isnt good lot of fake sound, that speaker is mean for true 5.1 if using pc with xonar d2x to direct 6 input the sound will blow fake 3d or even full 5.1 ps5

Ugh. It sounds terrible! Very tinny. No bass at all. Like it's coming out of a Samsung Galaxy.

if u are saying that after looking at the video..thats normal..u cant get the same sound like he is from a video on youtube..u need to be in his room to know how it is for real.
