Paul is the vocal chameleon in the band. He has like 4 distinct singing styles with varying timbre and range. For a sample of what they sound like, check out the following Beatles' songs: * I've Got a Feeling - He and John go back and forth, but Paul reigns supreme * Get Back - Paul intentionally made himself sound nasally here * I Will - A lovely ballad and soothing vocals (hear the bass vocals) * Helter Skelter - Many say this is the precursor to the heavy metal genre * Lady Madonna - A little alto, a little rock * Kansas City - He drew inspiration from Little Richards * Honey Pie - Paul dreamt of writing show tunes * Rocky Raccoon - Western movies tribute * Why Don't We Do It in the Road - Pure rock * You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) - A nice mashup of his vocal ability I thank my older brothers and uncles for exposing me to The Beatles music when I was very young. Proud 38-year old Beatles fan.

This song will get stuck in my head for days sometimes and it's just so so good. And I think the backing vocals on this are pure genius. This is my 2nd favorite song on the album. My favorite is I Want You/Shes So Heavy. This song is mesmerizing, especially the last few minutes. It draws you in. It is the last song on side one of the album. The Beatles are the only band you really cannot pidgeon hole as their music is incredibly eclectic. @johndavids4780 ... it may take a few starts, but see if you can spend time with PET SOUNDS. This is a staggering album that blew down the walls between rock, harmonies and orchestration. (Hey - where the guitar solos?!! Uh... where's the guitars, PERIOD?!!) The opening song is rather trite, at first listens... but by the time I finished Side 2, and restarted Side 1, then it made a lot of sense... it 'fit'. But back to your original argument: 2nd Best next to SHE'S SO HEAVY. Yes... what a luxury to 'have to do battle' between those two songs! Or the White Album's LONG LONG LONG vs. I WILL. Each Beatles album presents me with at least two favorites, and sometimes 4 - two from each 'style'. What a luxury!

It sounds like they used a slight echo for Paul's vocals in the chorus which sounds very cool. Love that effect! Also, the punchy guitar that pounces on that chord with perfect spacing proves that you don't need some slick, fast filling the air with a gazillion notes to have a great guitar sound in a song. As Miles Davis and Keith Richards have said...."let the notes breathe" and the Beatles showed how right that is in this song.

This is my favorite Beatles song. Have you seen the movie “Across the Universe”? It is a story told using a variety of Beatles songs. “Oh, Darling” is used as a backdrop to a singing duo couple’s break up. I love the movie and feel the songs are appropriately used for the characters and events.

Paul McCartney is the man of a thousand voices and he had a four octave range. On of the best vocal performances all time.

I used to sing and mime a performance along with this playing on my sister's stereo, mustering up all the heart and energy of a frustrated 12 year old boy. What a great release of theraputic dopamine! And all these years later, after losing my wife, the Beatles comfort me with Now and Then, (I think of you). Yeah, they've been with me since 4th grade, providing a soundtrack for every milestone of my life. Amazing!

This is possibly my favorite Beatles song. Paul's vocals are incredible, but John's and George's harmonies are angelic and add so much to this song. As someone had already mentioned, Ringo's fills are just great also.

JUST AMAZING … STUNNING BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤ … and he was just 27 … 🙈🙈🙈

I think this is Paul's best vocal. The entire album is a swan song, being the last recorded.

I've heard Abbey Road so many times I can play it in order in my head. I actually live at the Abbey Road apartments on Penny Lane in Austin. That album really means a lot to a lot of people. We experienced the songs always flowing into each other, as they were meant to be heard.

I love singing to The Beatles, as accurately as possible, as an exercise. Except this one, which I only sing when I feel like hurting myself. I'm not even kidding.

Their last song they played together "Get Back" was on a Rooftop in London. Impromptu. People were in the Street and looked and and they had a mini concert. Check out the Video!
