Emma had been performing quite well the whole season, that still came out of nowhere. It was Henk's song choice and he selflessly set Emma up to shine. While a seasoned singer she did not have extensive performance experience, her time on the show displayed poise and control beyond what she should have at this point in her career. Henk's performance for Emma was 'Despacito' (her most viewed cover on YT)

For Emma to hold her own amongst vocal masters like Floor and Henk is truly incredible. Her voice is so beautiful, so colourful… full of light and shade. This duet is one of the best I’ve heard… ever. Henk really almost nurtured Emma through this. They complimented each other so well. Honestly, if people remove the bias of knowing that Emma mostly does covers on KZread they’ll admit she’s amazing.

Vivo Per Lei (I Live For Her) is originally Andrea Bocelli's song from 1995. I love that old school Italian vibe to it from late 80s and early 90s.

Vivo per lei = I live for her. Her being music. Henk brought Emma into his bubble of confidence and made her shine even brighter.

All of them on Beste Zangers 2019 were exceptional. Definitely one of the better seasons of the show. Unfortunately the company took down the KZread videos with the best translations to English subtitles on copyright claims. When they were up you could see all of the full episodes and have the subtitles there to translate the discussions on the couch. Each song the person on the spot for that week talked a little then the artist whose turn it was to sing to them would speak about the song they chose to do and why. After each performance everyone gave comments about what they had just heard. As noted, all of the artists had very different backgrounds and while it seemed strange to most of the world Floor was not so well known in her native country. It was quite a shock to many people (not all) when the very first song of the season was her doing a somewhat metal version of Vilja Lied. A song that Henk's mother had sung to him as a child. You can see all of the performances from Avrotros but they don't have the background conversations nor the really good English subtitles.

Uncle Henk and Emma... i love this duet.. their voices work so well together .. its such a great song already and their version is .. pure gold to me. Thnx for the upload and react guys :) (Edit* Can we have some praise for the band who ALWAYS perform outstandingly, they are a huge part of how good the performances are)

Lil' bit of trivia : Emma gained popularity as a KZread cover singer which is how she ended up on the show (they purposefully take artists with very different backgrounds and levels of experience). On the last episode, they each got to pick one person to sing a duet with (hence Floor picking Henk for the Phantom). Henk's choice was Emma for Vivo Per Lei (not the other way around) and apparently some people were a bit perplexed that he would choose someone with comparatively so little singing experience and training for his duet given his own background and for this song. But the old boy knew exactly what he was doing, of course ;)

COOL! Glad you guys are checking out the other artists! They all deserved their spot in this season of the show! Every one of them has something to offer. Seriously, check out the entire season, and then the previous season... You'll find some real gems. Wanna see an Opera Singer cover Emmenemm? Maria Fiselier rapped Lose Yourself (the full unrated version) AND SHE NAILED IT! That was the 2018 season, I think. Not hard to find on YT, anyway. :)

Emma was a cover artist on youtube, but because of Beste Zangers she became world famous, check also her version of Strong she sang for Floor and Henk's version of Noelia for Rolf Sanchez, so beautiful both

Emma is still putting out covers on her channel, as well as whatever else she is up to these days. I SO CANNOT WAIT until she has an album out!

I love all your reactions on the songs from De Beste Zangers.. (proud to be Dutch) and i am going to check much more of your reactions!

You could also do the nightwish song Nemo and Tim Akkerman’s performance on beste zangers, he made it into a rock cover on that show.

That's a fun little song, and like me the won't understand one word of it. ;)

This was the wery first duett that evening, and Phantom was the last one... i believe, for myself, those were the wery best ones.

You know, while Floor is better singer by far i think that Emma is more suitable singer for both this and Phantom of the Opera. Only Floor can look at Henk in a way that says "you so cute when you sing like that!" This is not to say that Floor singing The Phantom of the Opera wasn't awesome but the character she was playing is differnt from her. Then again i'm thinking the original version. Henk and Floor did the NW version.
