Henk was setting her up during this performance...he really let her shine. He's pretty humble.

Rolf looked like that every time uncle Henk opened his mouth to sing, totally captivated on his voice and anticipation of things to come (including Emma, he adored her from day one as well), it was fun to see during the season hehe (Rolf became a huge fan of Henk from the first episode on) I'm happy to see this react so quickly, because simply said... if Floor and Henk had not done "The Phantom" then this would've been THE standout performance of the season for me... a season with dozens of standout performances... still cant get over it on how good a season that was. Emma's sweet voice combined with the powerful voice of Henk create magic for me, and you can see how Henk leads and gives her the limelight, how he has this calming personality that comforts Emma in a way that she can just go for it, get into the story and emotions of the music and song, it is Henk's "power" to lift any singer's confidence to get the best out of them, and for him.. its effortless to do that because he simply IS that way, everybody loves Henk and feels safe around him. She sounded amazing in every song she did but in this song... Henk gave her a boost that made her even better (the power of Henk hehehe) I was sure you would enjoy this performance (and you did) because they are yet another "magical" pair-up who gave us a heartwarming jaw-droppingly beautiful performance. Getting a feeling the rabbit hole that is Beste Zangers 2019, is starting to get a hold on you too now hehehe, and my prediction.. you wont be disappointed ;) (90% at least, was good or amazing) Thnx for the react and upload :D

Total agreement with you. This was THE BIG performance of the season, right up until Phantom. :)

For Emma to hold her own amongst vocal masters like Floor and Henk is truly incredible. Her voice is so beautiful, so colourful… full of light and shade. This duet is one of the best I’ve heard… ever. Henk really almost nurtured Emma through this. They complimented each other so well. Honestly, if people remove the bias of knowing that Emma mostly does covers on KZread they’ll admit she’s amazing.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but their blend of timbres was so perfect, their's was my favorite duet of the season. I was really surprised, honestly.

Thank you. - Vivo per lei (I live for Her) became famous when the great Italian blind opera singer, song writer, tenor and record producer Andrea Bocelli recorded it in 1995. This performance by Henk & Emma was so complete.

@@jamescurfman3284 That was a nice story from Henk, but they are almost the same age so it wasn't a kid, but just the son of a café owner maybe (like he said). If it is true at all, Bocelli was already fairly famous at that time.

I really enjoyed this performance. Emma was wonderful. Henk had a look of a proud father seeing his daughter blossom into the singer she could be. A true gentleman.

This was an awesome duet! When this season (2019) began, we went to see Floor’s performances. But we ended up loving all the singers.

I have to agree, it really can alter your day or mood.

Henk was so proud of her. The whole group was very impressed with her and told her she needs to be doing live shows. The MF band was and for Floor's solos so far, are amazing.

Yes, she actually decided to sign on with a company while talking to Ruben. He was really doing his best to get her to spread her wings outside of the YT channel. I'm glad he pushed her just that little bit and all the others backed what he told her. SO AWESOME!

Emma and Rolf released their duet as a single and it was a hit

sublime song, great singers. what a duo ! a well known song in latin european countries. I loved the faces of Floor, Samantha and the others ! It's Italian, not spanish.for spanish try Henk with Noelia. another great moment. My top 1 stay phantom of the opera ;).

Did you notice, tho, that Henk is the only one who never uses a monitor? That's good ear! Rolf's face throughout really says it all though

I said when I first heard this that this could have been performed on any of the big stages in the world and it would've been a huge success. Just imagine a big orchestral sound combined with that singing (the band was great, but it's not an orchestra).

I would like to recommend Maria Fiselier - Lose Yourself | Beste Zangers 2018 She is an Opera singer doing an Eminem song and also OG3NE a group of sisters who sound amazing they all sing in this same show but in diff season

really liked your reaction. For me it was always a hard decision which duett I prefer, Henk and Emma or Henk and Floor. Both performances are so spectacular beautiful. Now you should really do the third great duett from this evening Emma and Rolf - "Pa olvidarte". Rolf sings in Spanish and Emma answers in Dutch.

Nice react as always man. Impressive performance, isn't it? Seen lots of years of this show, but the show of 2019 is my favorite. Beste Zangers can be translated as best singers or dearest singers. In this year it surely was "best" singers. As you can see, Floor was touched to the bone.

I think this is Italian? Floor and the other singers are blown away by the complex and beautiful melodies which are made possible by the continuous key changes. This beautiful song from Andrea Bocelli begins in the key of D major, then transposes to E Major, then it goes to a D minor and ends up in the key of A minor. Finally it transposes to D minor, then to F Major and back to D minor only to resolve the song in an F Major chord. these types of key changes allow a composer to create a melody that moves with the music so beautifully and dramatically it lifts the song to another level. It is Italian, I totally missed it. Apprently i can't tell the difference when it's sung. if it was spoke I would have caught it. thx for the breakdown on the original composition. It was a beautiful piece and these two really did it justice.

This was great but I can only imagine how it would have been with Henk and Floor doing it. And yes, the band is incredible.

It would have been different with Floor and I honestly might have not liked it as much as with Emma simply because the contrast between Emma's voice and Henk's voice can't get any better I think.

LOL thanks and no worries, I'm a total idiot, There is no chance in hell that if someone was speaking Italian or Spanish that I couldn't tell them apart. I've been living here to long for that, but in song, I really couldn't tell, guess my brain is more familiar with Spanish as a New Yorker and it just said, Spanish, thats what it is. 🤣🤣🤣. And totally no offence taken, I'm usually pretty easy going with comments about me, I'm too old to care anymore

I got the feeling through watching the whole season that Rolf and Emma had a "thing" going on during this season....

henk always delivers, no matter what^^ his Noelia, the song he did for rolfs dead grandmother, poor rolf^^ , is also great.

Thank you very much for your reaction! Nice to see that you like the song. Henk have done some very special thing for Rolf in the show. Rolfs grandma died long ago. She did sing always the song "'Noelia'. The song does remember him to his grandma and he couldn't listen to it after she died, because it's to emotional. Henk sings the song as a surprise for Rolf, very emotional and beautifull. Maybe, you would like to react to it in this Show. I wish you a wonderfull christmas!

Hi , henk and emma sing this in italian but henk sang a song in spanisch for rolf in his episode it is the song ....noelia ...rolf is born on the dominican republic ( his father is dutch and his mother is from the dominican republic ) and his grandmother always sang that song for him but after her dead he never listend to ever again becauce that hurt him to mutch ( he told that in the episode ) after henk was done everybody was crying including floor she could it the henk efect check out the song

And to think Emma never performed before this show. She only sang on KZread.

Samantha mentions or gestures to the others often during performances that she has goosebumps or shivers. People always think I'm angry when I watch tv. So I get it. It just means I'm really into it and don't really notice anything else around me. lol. But yeah, Rolf's facial expressions are the best.

This song moves me more than Phantom of The Opera from this same episode. And as already suggested in the comments: listen to Maria Fiselier's version of Eminem's Lose Yourself, from another Beste Zangers season. Completely different to Vivo Per Lei, but still amazing.

Yeah, I believe Spanish is the 2nd most common language after Engish in the US. But i've been living on this side of the Atlantic long enough to tell the difference if it were spoken, but sung, I was clueless. Thx for the info about the original version ✌✌

This Italian song is an ode to the music (musica in Italian = female) 'I live for Her'. Now that you have heard it and understand why so many people suggested it :) The 'duets episode' has a number of great performances: Floor and Tim (Shallow), Rolf and Emma (Pa Olvidarte), Samantha and Tim (Tina Turner and Eros Ramazzotti - Cose della vita), Samantha and Rolf (No me ames) and of course Henk and Emma, Floor and Henk.

Great reaction to a fabulous duet. Knew you would love it👍 Don't forget to do some of the 2018 songs and duets after. A couple already mentioned here, including the Eminem cover, and even the "Barcelona" duet from an even earlier season - which is wonderful. Such a shame that this format show isn't more worldwide, as the artists and house band have been incredible on the whole. There is one other similar show, from Holland, called "Liefde Voor Muziek", which is also excellent, and featured Sharon from Within Temptation in one season. Well worth checking out - will leave a link to her songs soon. Also features another amazing backing/house band.

Yeah I totally missed the language, but have to agree, Henk is multi style for sure, definitely learned that from watching this.

He's obviously singing in Italian lol. Please get your facts right. Sex machine was Emma's 1st performance on the show and also her weakest, hard to fill Mr. Browns shoes lol. She grew with every following episode. This duet and her cover of Floors "Strong", were among the absolute highlights of the season.

Emma has a monitor, henk is so used to be able todo this for his work he doesn't even use one...

There's a sister duo that I keep trying to get folks to react to, and I can't. The reason remains a total mystery to me. They are "Larkin Poe" and they perform across a wide range of genres but primarily "swamp rock" or blues or what the Europeans call "Americana". They are Rebecca and Megan Lovell, and they are immensely talented musicians and artists. Their original song that I think best demonstrates their mastery of both songwriting and performing is "Mad As A Hatter". I noticed that earlier, and couldn't figure out why, I imagine it's because his voice is so well trainined he knows how to hit all the notes without hearing the accompanying music to guide him??? if so that is CRAZY impressive

Seems you pulled a video with a video from/by Eminem. I suppose it had to do with it getting blocked.
