Wow what a coincidence i learnt about Darlington pair just last week and now i am here watching this video
I made a 4 transistor darlington years ago that would come on when I waved my hand about a foot from it. After a while of building some charges in my room via the carpet I was able to do some cool looking Harry Potter shit with it.
@seraphina985
4 жыл бұрын
Heh that almost makes me wonder how many you would need for it to activate from just being near it without building up an artificial charge first. In theory the human body does produce an extremely small variable electric field of it's own perhaps too small to detect though except maybe at almost point blank range as if you make it too sensitive stray RF noise and such is going to activate it.

"Do you guys wanna se me clean my room" its 4am I must wake up 6am,yea i got time
Sir...u are awesome ✨✨i was searching for this ...from long time( actually 3dys)😅
Noice job luv ur educational videos
The circuit is also called 'electroscope' and reacts very sensible to any electrostatic action if you use 6 transistors and of course some collector resistors.
OH how I missed the rectifier. Sweet KZread money returns
I saw this cascaded transistors cofiguration in an electronics components factory (Siemens, maybe) newsletter, back in the 80s... I used it when assemblying my water level detector, during my electronics course... The teacher was clear that the test glass of water shouldn't contain any salt and was kind of amazed that mine worked perfectly with such a simple solution.
hi im a big fan i made ur circuit and it worked thx so much!!!
I really do have to thank you sir. I graduated with a degree in physics last year. However, along the way I ended up losing my passion for it and only continued for the sake of finishing since I was about 75% done at the time and my grades slipped due to my lack of interest and excitement. A few months after graduating I stumbled upon your channel. Since then I've watch every single one of your videos and because of you my passion for science was reignited. I'm now back in school studying mechanical and computer engineering and absolutely enjoying my work for the first time in a long time. I truly cannot thank you enough. I look forward to your next video. Keep up the fantastic work you do.
I've used the antenna+oscilloscope trick you showed at 4:57 before to find out if a joypad wire was internally broken (by flowing in it a signal generated with a signal generator). It was not very efficient but worked overall.

We use something similar for fine location of a cable break to repair broken network cables in large buildings sometimes. We would use TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometry) to estimate the distance to the cable break and then use a signal generator and receiver to pin down the actual cable break. Once you find it you can cut the bad section out and use a couple of splice connectors to insert a replacement segment of ethernet cable. It's not ideal and you wouldn't really want to be doing this multiple times on the same cable by any means but it can be the most cost effective option for the client especially if there is no suitable spare cable already run as running cables in already finished and furnished buildings can get labour intensive and thus expensive.
Thanks for helping
I love your channel u always put a smile on my face every time I watched your video keep up the good work Sir I truly appreciate
"One side of a capacitor" That's a really really good way to think about a lot of things, thank you!

Dear he is right. Relay have both side connected to circuit. Even a strate wire act like capacitor to some extend. This wire was twisted many time to increse circut area, strate wire have small surface area resulting small induce voltages.
The real moral of the story is never trust a man with an accent... That’s why I trust electroboom, he is perfectly normal, what accent?

getting close to three years later and getting close to the three million views this video deserved two years ago.
Please mehdi... Make a video on electronics components like zener diodes and mosfets. I watch all your videos... Big fan... and since I am a mechanical engineer minion.... Bah! I gotta learn electonics too from you that's it..
