Would YOU Cross this Bridge over this RUSSIAN Waterfall ?!

Russia has waterfalls?! See us explore this unique place of not one but four waterfalls. Come see how different and the same Russia is. We are in Karelia, the Finnish Republic of Russia. This is a large northern forest territory with mountains. Is it as beautiful as your part of the world?

IMHO Two the most impressive waterfalls in Russia are Belduchancky waterfall, 25 m high and about 70 meters wide, and Irkinda-1, about 27 m high and 30 m wide. If u r looking for the highest waterfall go to the Talnickoviy, which is about 700 m high, or the Great Zeigelan - a bit smaller, just about 600 m 😊

Brotherly heart, thank you for what you do! But you need to visit the south of Russia, cities like Sochi, Kislovodsk, Kazan. In the other parts of Russia, you'll fall in love with Kamchatka( like Yellowstonepark), Primorsky Krai, where the city of Vladivostok will remind you of San Francisco, but without addicts and homeless. And what do you know about the Altai Mountains? There you'll find the most picturesque road in the world. It's not the road from Monterey to Malibu, but I know it's just as good, believe me.)) Sakhalin, Taymyr, Kaliningrad? And that's far from all. Near Moscow, there's the Golden Ring of Russia. And of course, don't forget about the North Caucasus with the highest point in Europe - Mount Elbrus, and the largest city park in Europe - in the city of Kislovodsk. Now, this is also your country. You must see it to fall in love with it even more. And in Texas today, it's +42 degrees Celsius;))"

Elbrus is really cool. The cable road takes you to 3900 meters and then you can hire a guy on the snow mobile or hop on the snow track and they can take you up to 4700m. This is a lifetime experience! The summit will be "only" 1km away from the altitude perspective and the scenic views from there are unparalleled. All this you can do in one day but beware of the altitude sickness and keeping sunglasses on. Kislovodsk is spot on - I've been there recently. The place is super clean and it has done a good job renovating all the historical buildings and the park.

I want to make an amendment: Karelia was never part of Finland, on the contrary, Finland was part of the Russian Empire from 1802 to 1917, Karelia is an autonomous republic now, but after World War II it was a republic within the USSR for ten years, and then became part of the RSFSR.

@@expatamerican3234 You are wrong, Finland was never part of the Soviet Union. It became independent in 1917 right after the October coup. The Soviet Union was formed in 1922. But you are right that Finland never existed as a separate country before that. Finns, after centuries of unhappy life under Sweden, voluntarily joined the Russian Empire. Russia's main goal was to create among the Finnish population a sentiment "friendly, calm, satisfied with their situation and interested in the external strength and power of Russia", the Grand Duchy of Finland received a special status of autonomy within Russia. The Russian emperor, in particular, could not approve new and change old laws, introduce taxes and revise class privileges without the consent of the Seimas. Even the police of the Principality was formed only of Finns: and if at first it was subordinated to the Governor-General, then later it was transferred to the Civil Expedition at the Economic Department of the Senate, i.e. it actually became completely independent.

In 1721, the Peace of Nystadt was signed, which officially ended the largest geopolitical confrontation at that time - the Northern War, in which Russia defeated Sweden. Finland got independence 1917 from shit Russia and this part of Karelia was Finland as Vyborg also etc till Russia attacked brutally again and robbed those areas from Finland. And Karelia should be independent country not any part of Russia as many other areas in 'Russia' as well. Like calling for example, Chechenya, Russia sounds weird. Btw Karelia has its own flag and autonomy.
