For this battle, we're going to imagine what would have happened had the Empire been victorious at the Battle of Endor, with the Yuuzhan Vong invading the galaxy 25 years ABY. The Empire will have full use of Emperor Palpatine, their Super Star Destroyers, their various Super Weapons, and whatever else they would've had or had in development. Galactic Empire vs Yuuzhan Vong. Who Wins?

It's a sad day when Palpatine was the Galaxy's best hope
The Empire absolutely would have defeated the Vong based solely on their willingness to use biological weapons.
The reason why the empire was so militarized was because Palpatine foresaw the Yuuzhan Vong coming and he wanted to stop it.
It's almost as if the Imperials wargear was designed to fight the Yuuzhan Vong, not the rebel alliance.
The use of the Death Star alone would have made up for the lack of Jedi in the war. Being able to one shot their world ships would have been clutch.

I read the book. The new republic were useless. Infact they were helping the enemy hunt down the jedi. The remnants of the Empire were one of the few factions holding their own against the yuuzon vong.
The Vong themselves said they'd have lost if the Empire was still vibrant.
the entire point of palpatine's empire was to fight the vong. he already ruled the galaxy as chancellor as early as episode 1 and anyone who read darth plaguis can tell you he had the entire democracy in his pocket, a revolution, even a jedi purge, was unnecessary. what he needed was militarization
There's a fan theory that says Palpatine had a vision or dream about the vong invasion and created the empire and the death star as a way to fight the gong if they ever actually invaded the galaxy.
