Again, this series desperately needs: 1) Live fact checking 2) Better moderation 3) Better preparation from the participants (encourage them to come with stats and articles and numbers) So many of these discussions go off the rails bc people are saying things that either aren't true or aren't on prompt and it's so frustrating.

Often times it seems like they select people who are knowledgeable on their opinion, only on one side, just like in the Palestine one a few days ago. They should have had Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank, who had lived experiences to speak. Not “my aunt” story. The amount of lies that went unchecked was gross.

They’ve done it much more often recently and then started charging you to go watch their full version. I don’t want to pay for the full version if it’s still gonna be lackluster question topics, people consistently cutting each other off with no moderation and their arguments eventually getting cut off to get to the next topic. Becouse czechoslovakia was one of the economicly more prospering socialist countries. They wanted to abolish the wealthy rich and made the most people in the same economic weight class as. Any argument that says communism can provide more economic growth than capitalism already lost the argument. If I were pro-communism, my best argument would be the Easterlin Paradox which basically finds that within a particular society, rich people are happier than poor people but across societies, poor countries tend to be more happier than rich countries. It suggests that when basic necessities are fully met within a society, further materialistic (production) growth has diminishing returns in terms of happiness and well-being. It's quite interesting and is the only thing that I can think of that would validate socialism

There have been many surveys regarding this. And even in my country, the Czech republic, formal Czechoslovakia, 38% think it was better on oppose to 45% (the rest undecided). Thats still a lot considering we are relatively well off currently. Lowest enemployment rate in the EU, etc. And even people who think capitalism is better still admit not everything about the previous regime was bad and they would reintroduced some stuff. A lot of people in the US miss nuance regarding this. I actually hate when people say once a free health care is introduced, you will end up in Gulag, like wtf is wrong with some people xD

Bunny is the exception to China. So she came to the US easily as a child and can go back and forth no problem. So basically she just admitted that she comes from the rich class that rules over the people in China who can't come and go easily who's $2 a day wage makes it impossible for them to even afford a singe plane ticket. Communism has females equal in out of home work but not at home. Even in "ideal" communism sex relations where women like Angela Merkel get advanced degrees and rise to leadership those cultures still expected the women to do that AND all the cooking, cleaning etc unless they can afford to pay other women to do all those "female " chores.

I mean it's OK to be skeptical of major countries in Africa because of the major power imbalance between African countries and china.,but you have to agree that the Chinese have not couped/assassinated any leaders and replaced them with a puppet leader to let them do what ever they want.they propose a deal, they African country says no,they say OK and leave.
