In the farplain archieves under the units tab ,you get access to 2 equipment quests after finishing the first 5 mr unit quests plus 99 mr unit helps new users so double the reward lol

Might be wrong here but to get the trust mastery item doesn't the character need to reach LVL 99 , not just awakening and limit break?

@@Sa3vis you can't get to 99 without those LB and Awakenings. But it is the LB and Awakening, when you do the final one you get the TMR before you have a chance to level up to 99

This came out the minute I was hopping on KZread to look for an equipment guide. Very serendipitous for me! You've been an amazing resource for returning to this game. Thanks a bunch for the detailed breakdowns on characters and systems.

Nice job, wish I had this video when I started. Covered extraordinarily well. The only thing missing would be talking about seals/hammers to add stats while leveling a weapon. Its not the easiest to talk about but I'll take a shot at it: When you create a weapon, it starts at level 1. You have to awaken and level it, with the cap level being 5 stars and level 50. Each time the weapon is leveled, up, it has a chance to increase the stats featured on the weapon. If the weapon say has no crit value, it can't roll crit, but if it has an accuracy value, it can roll for more accuracy. There is an upper limited noted in the crafting screen. Seals increase the likelihood that when you level a weapon it will roll additional stats of the same stat type as the seal. Thus if your leveling an armor, and add an HP seal, you are more likely add HP with a level. Once a weapon hits level 50, you can no longer add additional stats randomly. Instead you can use hammers. These will add a few stats when you use a hammer, and you use these to try to eek out any stats that didnt max out while leveling a weapon. You can only use a maximum of 10 hammers, and like seals, each is associated with a stat type (finishing hammers = crit btw). After you use 10 hammers, you cant increase the stats of the item anymore. You can reset the item back to level 1 though, removing any stat increases and try again to see if RNG is a little more kind to you. I personally haven't had to reset too many times, but had had to on occasion. Most of the time, seals and hammers will be enough to max out a piece of equipment on the first pass. Other small bits I'd add is if you have something like a +3 item and want to make a +5 or +6 via crafting, you can use the +3 in place of several recipes. I think you need only 48 recipes if you use a +3 item. Another thing for clarity sake: The Evade stat in equipment is different than the Evade big box at the bottom. The stat line can be added with other equipment (with diminishing returns), the bottom box though is will only use the highest evade stat. Really well done.

Excellent guide Mysidia. I think this will be very useful to lots of new players.

A couple additional tips: - The best equipment - such as Brigandine, Black Garb, and Alexandrite Ring - can only be farmed during limited time Raids and Raid Revivals. - Some recipes are only available in the Shop - like Main Gauche - so check the 1.25m recipes every day to see if there are some you want to pick up. - There are 7 unique equipment quests under Key Quests instead of Farplane Archives labeled "Challenge". These are much older quests that are super easy to farm if you have even a couple 120s. As a new player you should start with 3 challenge keys, and when you unlock a challenge quest it's available for 3 days so you have lots of time to farm. Within these Challenge quest are modest replacements for Raid gear, until you can farm those up. The three pieces of Challenge gear I'd advise you farm first are Silver-Rimmed Spectacles, Sage's Hat, and Gold Armor. -- Silver-Rimmed Spectacles can be built with very high Aim and are great for helping counter Evade units until you can get an Alexandrite Ring. Even after you have Alexandrite Rings, Silver-Rimmed Spectacles may still be better for Magic using accuracy builds due to Spirit Penetration. -- The Sage's Hat can be built for Evasion and is one of the best Evasion pieces you can get until you can farm Black Garb or other limited Evasion gear. The Crow Cloak is also decent with only slightly less overall evasion stats, but is an accessory. You can also build Sage's Hats for SPR defense, but the Smart Coat is better if you're going for that. -- Gold Armor is one of your best DEF armor choices until you can farm Brigandine.

​@@handy_l3691 That's a fantastic question that maybe @mysidia or another poster knows the answer to, because I am uncertain. I think they may be bundled in with Producer Gifts every 3ish months. When I started last September during the 2.5 anniversary, I started with 3. I used them to farm up some stuff in Nov or Dec, and then noticed I had 3 more the following month, shortly after we got the Producer Gifts for JP 3rd anniversary. I know for a fact they didn't come from daily log in bonuses and I do not remember buying them from the shop. Now in April I seem to have 3 more, just after we got the 3rd anniversary gifts. So, my assumption is that they are awarded with Producer Gifts, because the timing lines up and there's always so many things bundled in them. Producer Gifts come at a pace of about every 3 months (at the year and half year anniversaries, and when JP gets their year and half year anniversaries). But I also haven't gone over the gifts with a fine tooth comb either and so for all I know they are falling out of the ether. Sorry for the long but ultimately uncertain answer.

I didnt realize it was really quick and efficient to farm an +5 now, I farmed swordbreaker on background repeat and it took me only 8 hours while I off the game 🤣

I would say farm a Golden Armor (Slash Resistance) for her in the Archives, you could also farm a Crow Cloak for it's Crit Evasion and AOE Resistance. All of these passives are great for tanks. Eventually she'll want UR gear from Raids but right now you don't have a ton accessible for her.

Loving this game so far, about 4 weeks in. I’m building Kitone and know she wants to dodge. What equipment/quests should I seek to find the gear?

Want to ask about dark fina equipment? There is any recomendation for her?

I have farmed all 64 recipes needed for Sephiroth's masamune but how about the materials needed? the Unidentifiable Sap, Wolf Fang and Dark Cryst. What/where is the most efficient way to farm them?

hi, i have a question. How can i get the keys for the challenges in key quest tab? I want to take the silver rimmed spectacles from the typhon challenges, but i cant find the key required to open the room. How can u get some of them? thanks

Its Xizas TMR. You need to get her to 99 to get it. Shes purchasable in the medal shops

What is the meaning of red attribute?

For a new player, is it a good idea to craft low lv equipments to use while progressing content or just wait until I have enough material for +5?

When I played a new account for awhile I just saved for +5s and that worked fine.

It would be pretty optimistic to think that new players are staying. The "generosity" of the developer falls short at this point, and new players quickly realize the gift boosts during collaboration events are not really gifts but are required to make leveling even possible since grinding for Gil or items to craft is a horrendous grind that quickly saps any fun out of playing for sake of being efficient. That doesn't take into account t the even higher and higher level building of the units and how much it costs in time and money to level max a unit. This games existing philosophy is no longer about bringing on new players but retaining their whales by a continuous drip feed of pointless content and power creep. The best thing you can do is to step away as a new player because if you are not going to spend, you will always be so far behind the 8 ball that any progress you make is inconsequential.

Just started few days ago and able to get wing sterne's sword +3 from his key quest. How do i make that sword that already +3 to +5? When i try craft seems like it craft a new weapon, not upgrading the +3 i already have.

I forgot to mention, but the Warriors of Crystal units have permanent EX quests to farm their weapons, so that's a good starting point for Astrius (his is called Glimmering Edge: Quelsaad). For Perrene there are the Gilded Devils from her Warrior of Crystal quest, but you could also unlock the Tiger Fangs quest in the Archives, it's a very solid fist weapon.

Can someone please HELP ME??... I try to craft any gear pass +2 and ask me for ADAMANTITE XL... I have a LOT of the S, M and L I mean... +30K of each and in the crafting screen STILL ASK ME FOR ADAMANTITE XL... Happens for any gear not only weapons.... this is slowing my progress a lot.... PLEASE HELP ME Im desperate!!!

Anyone know what’s good for winged sterne ? I’m still weak so I don’t really have any limited items

The Dawnlight sword is usually best in slot for him, not sure if it's in the farplane archives yet. But if it is, farm it! Otherwise Brigandine from raids for armour.

Uh oh, its the pronunciation police!

Locking UR gears behind raids is bad...since raids are time gated and if u have a job or u can't play the game during that specific time for whatever reason u lose out on a lot .

recipes are pretty ok to farm but the materials man T_T

Yeah, the materials are harder to farm than the recipes. However, x2 Farplane Archive and x2 Another Story weeks are great for material farming, and even during x2 story week, since some of story missions award crafting mats. wotv-calc has a farming calculator where you can put in a material and see all the missions it drops from and drop rate. Raid materials, on the other hand, are the worst because you can't background farm and so have to babysit the game all day if you want to acquire a decent amount.

I totally get it. I've played multiple accounts from the start and its painful for awhile. But you will get to a point where you have all the mats already and you just need the recipes. Especially when you start doing raids
