Another note, sitting at spawn the entire game doesn't help your team. (Unless you are constantly hitting and firing at the enemy team in a TD). The amount of times I've seen my entire team not leave thier spawn, and just sit in the back is insane. I have never seen any team fo this, and get a victory. Spawn has the worst cover compared to the middle or any other part of the map, and you can't relocate or fall back. So you're just a sitting duck, and everyone can outspot you as they already know your exact position.

I agree with your tips Droodles but I feel like writing a script for each map is not the right way to go. These battles will always be subjective and will always require on the go thinking. That’s also what makes these games interesting and dynamic. If everyone just uses the same strategy it quickly becomes boring. I see where you are coming from but at the end of the day and as they say “no plan survives contact with the enemy”

If you are in a lower tiered medium compared to the enemy, outnumbered, or you are in a no armor medium that cannot brawl then what good does going med and getting slaughtered by the enemy do? If you go up the bridge on a big tank with poor depression you are just an HP pinata for the enemy. In my experience the best place to go is wherever your team is going. If everyone goes the same way you tend to win. Splitting up never helps.

A good game punishes the effective but primitive tactics which lead to boring gameplay - like everybody moving together in one tight formation. In WOT I think they have artillery. I believe that does the trick because they will be all inside the blast radius. In WOTB the tight formation at least should be spotted (they could explain it with satellite reconnaissance or something).

Map knowledge should be in your muscle memories ever since you played the game and comes to tier X unless it is a brand new maps. If it is a new map arrived. Get into the place where you think your tank will advantage you the most. Mediums and Lights are very good spotter so get into a High ground wouldn’t be a bad idea to spot enemies below. HTs are brawlers mostly especially Germans. You should go to area where it mostly covered and doesn’t cause too much on a line of sight for enemy scouts and TDs. TDs you suppose to either support either MTs or HTs, make sure look at your gun caliber and rate of fire before choose your path. If you did the most alpha in entire TDs in your team, I recommend to go with Heavies as it slower pasted and any high damage friendly HTs will appreciate at. If you are a fast and decent reload TDs, you can go with mediums, as you can shift around anyways. This is why Skorpion and 130PM are so powerful as they fast and able to move around with either sides. Every map have its own Meta Spot, where your team usually went there. New bay it depends really, if you don’t have proper mediums, Bridge is a horrible position. If Heavies are mostly german, Bridge is a shit place to take over. Why? Well, German Heavies doesn’t like open area they prefer close area where people get as close as possible. That’s how German Heavy Tanks work in World Of Tanks, and even Blitz as they still use PC as its core reguardless. I seen quite a lot of people lose to a Bridge fight, not because they not rushing or no team going there, BUT they went the wrong way as most of their team are German Heavies that cannot fight in the bridge. The area on the bridge is very uncomfortable.Bridge in New Bay is only good, at Hulldown Vehicles, if your team have more Hulldown Heavies, then it is a fantastic idea to push Bridge. It’s very 50/50 in New Bay. Sometimes the Park is a better path to use. Also Supremacy, cap is fine but PLEASE not as a Heavy Tank. You are slow, fat, easy to spotted and big. I am stronglynot recomnend to use Heavy to Cap in Supremacy… you should be the armor in your team let the MTs and LTs cap the point they are more faster and much harder to spot. And they also fast which able to get into cover really quickly

I disagree with your opinion about new bay. As a heavy that doesn't have significant gun depression I would push through the town. What can I do at the bridge? In order to be able to aim at the enemy I have to expose myself so much I will be dead in seconds. Also you literally have no cover except the other side of the bridge on the steep road. The only chance to win up there is higher number of teammates, but because of the narrow road it has it's pretty difficult to use it effective especially when there's a td with non-turnable turret trying to positioning and blocking the whole way. Under the bridge also can't work, because it's open. On the other hand if I go through the town I will be able to flank the enemy. Yes it's high ground but it's only useable if the whole enemy team went to the town otherwise it's more useless than the town, because in the town at least you can have some cover if it happens you have to fight there.

I think you're forgetting that in supremacy, if your tanks can't hull down and is more suited for city battle, like most german tanks are for instance, then you can simply hold two capture sites and wait for the enemy to come down their hull down/high ground positions. They'll be forced to because they only have 1 site on their side.

But map awareness for one and even more so - MOST MAPS YOU STAY TOGETHER NO MATTER THE PROPER DIRECTION!! You should do a video on playing together and focus fire. Dead Rail & Castilla may be maps to split, as long as you split with the proper support. It’s a numbers game at the end.

Droodles, I'm going to have to disagree on New Bay. On New Bay, you can't split a team like that; that is what lost you. Going town with the meds you had, a WZ which has no gun depression to actually hold the hill and a TVP with no turret armor and most of your team fell into either of those categories. Not only was your team going to do badly on that map in general, but it was more suitable to go town and hold the bases, or loop around and hit them in the back. The fact that you want to blame everyone but yourself on that match and say "oh but I got damage" means nothing, when in general you didn't even attempt to follow the tip of the spear. WRONG, you know that most hulldown tanks don't even use their full gd right? *cough* IS-4 with 6 *cough*, so yea just stay up, if the enemies are below, shoot them, if they're going up, just back up and wait for them to go further enough up for you to just flat out shoot them. Just for clarification - in your experience, a disparity in numbers (e.g., green has X heavies and red has X+1, or green has Y mediums and red has Y-1) doesn’t impact direction on a given map? I was in a battle yesterday on Dead Rail with even numbers of heavies, but red had a 2:1 advantage on meds, and we had a 2:1 on TDs. Had I gone C, I would have been killed by two meds. Instead, I went A to support heavies (in a WZ-122) and asked backline TDs to guard flank. Killed two heavies and turned the fight in our favor - in the end, only me and our TDs survived. Why would C have been a better play in that particular battle?

Look people should go for high ground, it's a great strategic boon however there are 2 different game styles and what style of match you are in is what you need to base your direction of travel on. Doodles is a good player but he is better off playing domination and avoiding supremacy. Reason why? Take this video for instance. Insisting that everyone always push for high ground. That works in domination where you don't have bases located in the lowlands but when you play supremacy it's a little diffrent. Black goldvill is a good example. In domination push th a high ground gain control of it and you can work your way down from there clearing the rest of the reds. Chances of the enemy team getting the 100 count on you before you get the control on the high ground and start working your way back to the base or at least close enough to place a shot on whoever is in the base area and give your team time to.get there is really miniscule. Now on supremacy on the other hand you got a different story that will unfold. Start things off your meds and lights should push the higher ground. Maybe 1 to 2 hvys working the mid strip along the road and the rest of the hvys need to move to c asap. Hvys cap c and b. The enemy caps a and are now trying to roll down hill. However they have taken a lot of rounds capping a and what's left of your team is about at if not full health. With c capped your hvys would push around to flank or straight up the middle to b because the fastest route is a straight line. Even if the skill level of the enemy is way above your teams, with the health your team would have over the enemy at that point you should be able to hold b long enough to get the points needed to win. Especially when you note that you are gaining the points at a rate that is double what the reds counter is raising by. Once your 150 points up its pretty hard to lose supremacy unless the reds cap all bases or everyone on your team dies. So if you find yourself to be one whom disagrees with me and thinks doodles has the 100% meta then go into your game selection(ya know the spot where you cam chose between regular and ratings battles) and uncheck/be sure the box is unchecked that says supremacy next to it.. when I watch videos that doodles puts out and I hear him starting to throw one of his hissy fits and begin a rant I stop watching the video for educational purposes because when that happens the content I was hoping to get has turned to pure entertainment purposes only. This video from the jump was a rant so I'll be taking none of it to the battlefield with me. I did find some great stuff in the comments however that I can take.

When I'm on New Bay and playing LT/MT i don't go to the usual route on bridge as team is so random you always found yourself alone on that bridge like on the video so I usually go to the near the encounter cap of the map to that crossroads so that I can have options when these scenario happens 1. If my team and enemy all gone bridge then i can go with them from sector 5 and support them from either side of the inclined ridge their creating a crossfire and have an escape route if needed 2. if my team does not go bridge and the enemy does then I have an open escape route so i won't bleed that much and If i timed it right i can go to sector 5 and provide spotting 3. If my team goes bridge and the enemy does not I can sit there and provide an ambush/spotting point for the team 4. if my heavies does not go bridge I can just sit there and depending on what the enemy heavies will do options 1 and 3 and create a supportive crossfire. Granted I can't win all of those but at least I win most on New Bay when team does not go bridge (17k battles in Asia server on 56% WR with no Smashers and Annihilators and not a low tier spammer)

So true. But the problem is to many players are CLUELESS about strategy. Also, WG provides ZERO help in this area. No arrows pointing, no explanation of what’s right and best. It’s a free for all. I don’t know how many times I push the right way, and my team abandons me, goes the wrong way, or camp’s hard. Some people are forced to not do what’s necessary and are forced to change direction going with the team hoping to make it through another bad decision. WG encourages advancement without knowledge. That’s my drum I beat on. That’s WG’s fault and it causes immense frustration for the die hards and competent.

My 2 cents as I play vast majority of my games solo. Career 64%, IGN: BlazingLegend. I agree with the sentiment that there are important locations on maps where Meds and Heavy needs to go to contest, optimal locations even. Sadly a lot the time the team just doesn't do that, medium blitz down the middle on dead rail for example instead of contesting the hill. I've adopted to the philosophy of just giving up those positions, it would put the team at a severe disadvantage and probably result in a loss. Very frustrating but you take what you can get, if noone bothered to take the important position then I generally just leave that position as its not sensible for me to be able to hold by myself.

I TOTALLY agree with you, Droodles. Map control is imperative to winning. Too many players at all tiers are clueless on map control and properly navigating the map. What also gets me is a player not looking at the mini-map and noticing a tank to his immediate left or right. I'll never understand that. To be successful, you have to have map control and use the mini-map. It's really not rocket science. Both facets are fundamental to the game.

@@_thegoodplayer_5206 I agree. It really depends on your teammates and how good they are. As Droodles stated, the bridge is best because you have map control and you can spot really well. Too many players are completely impatient and insist on trying to end the game in 2 minutes. That leads to a quick death. I prefer to be patient and choose my targets from the bridge. After all, it's a seven minute game; not two. Of course, as you've stated, getting B/C can be advantageous as well. It really all comes down to how good your teammates are. I know, that's obvious! LOL I'm sure your teams have won going all bridge or going all park, as have mine. You make an excellent point.
