Reall enjoying it for the relative low price. Reminds me of the old ghost recons and R6 terrorist hunt. Glad we finally have a PVE option for this genre, my reflexes aren't like they use to be in the 90s.

Let me think.. $250 for the new Tarkov edition or.. $16.99 and groceries?

Having played the game, I had a great time. Good weapon feel, responsive enemies and bite sized objectives so far.

Been playing this for a bit and it has been a blast with friends! However, I do want to pinpoint a few things: Weapon Customization on the old version, Project Quarantine, felt much more extense than it is now. I also find it somewhat counter-intuitive that you must inspect the weapon before you are able to change parts like stocks, grips and dust covers. Arena Breakout does it simple with a Gunsmith menu. But regardless, it feels nice converting AKs from Polymer furniture to Wooden furniture. The map itself feels tiny, but there is plenty of room for Sniping / Recon along the Quarry and different tactics as well. It looks tiny, but it’s a nice playground for those Ghost Recon Wildlands moments. I also saw a comment on guns looking too clean. I am hoping that with the durability spec on weapons as you use them and extract with them, they also get more worn. Because if anything, it might hint at jams like in Far Cry 2. Plus, this is just for $13? I am sold.

am okay with small maps (thats how tarkov strted it) since big maps can cause fps-optemization issues, sticking with small maps is the way to do it, at least until they have a stable version of the game

Potential but a lot of things are needed to make this great. Factions need more info. I have no idea what levels I’m at. Main base should have mannequins to store personal gear. My bags take up so much space in the stash so this would make a nice addition. Customise the mission parameters, like AI difficulty, number of bots, what faction the bots come from.

They lazyness in todays games created a new standard for AI. they just spawn and roam but they have no purpose and they don't do anything. They game is already PvE only, so why not create quests with actual scripted AI that react to you and respond to the quest and try to prevent you from completing it? the primitive Tarkov quest formula of "go there, fetch that, mark this" is so old. what happened to actual missions that effect the game world?

It’s funny the free extraction shooter games like Arena breakout and Lost light have AI that are really made well. Some of them even collect loot from fallen players or just other loot. I’m surprised how free game have better AI than the ones that we pay for.

As a dude who havent played a single second or tarkov, this might be a decent alternative for me. I think i will pick this up

Funny enough, another content creator claimed that the current map is "too big" and the devs biting off more than they can chew... Honestly, I think we can all agree that this game is rough but what keeps me interested personally is the fact that the devs have been pretty proactive with hotfixes, addressing concerns, and embracing the criticism. Something I can't say with every other early access title as of late. Their recent Q&A just made me excited for what is to come.

There is one HUGE difference from this and TARKOV... NO HACKERS !!!!

i did a couple of game and i have to say that im really enjoing that. it have to improve a several aspects but ehy, its 13€/$, for the experience that offers and the content that will be released in future, (there is a roadmap of 2024) i think it's worth.

You can actually have the AI hunt you down if one fires a shot, if you have the custom difficulty, you can boost how far they see you and how far they will go to find you, max the follow and boost up the vision abit and they will be hard and immersive like that.

I find it however lacking that normally there is no AI inside houses, noone sitting on chairs chilling or stand in watch towers. I wish there were abit more AI over the place, also roaming the roads more.

Something like arma reforger ai would be sweet, but I love this game.

Great game and its in early stages, I enjoy playing it and the price is affordable, I have only had it a couple of weeks and there are regular updates and new stuff. Give it time.

For its price atm yes it worth it. :D

For the price. Its a good game. Im enjoying it. Ready or not sucks. I got fedup of getting 0.01 sec head shotted the moment an ai opens a door.

Ready or not is a swat simulator. It’s one of the best shooters anyone can buy on steam. There’s a huge learning curve. Ex swat members have played the game and said that it is so realistic to real life swat that it gave them flashbacks. You die fast as it’s a realism focused game but I’ve never experienced instant headshots ever. Not once. Maybe rerun it and move slower using the ballistic face mask

I'm liking the idea of this game

I have only played 2 raids and the 1st one I spawned and was immediately head shot, than the 2nd one I got shot through a wall. Had zero idea where the guy was. I’m going to try and restart my account to get guns back

16.99. That's all I need to know. And it's not in full release yet. I'll give them time, but I already bought it.

after the implosion that was tarkov today(technically yesterday as of writing this) this game will probably replace tarkov for me and FOR ONLY 17$! (not another 100$ or 250$ for a new player

My concern has been the same with these types of games.. the AI. It's been too long where I've seen a tactical shooter with good AI, like the game FEAR you mentioned in the video. So far maybe Ready or Not has achieved some level of it (if you ignore their aimbot and aggressiveness), but I only say that because other tac shooters have very basic AI and never really improve from there. We're in 2024, games have had massive improvements in graphics but AI development felt like it hasn't moved at all.

FEAR has good ai but its entirely reliant on the player having bullet time to even the playing field. In a grounded tactical shooter they would still be way too hard. Idk if any tactical shooter has ever really jad good ai tbh 😅

i hope the game succeeds but i just dont see it living too long when gray zone warfare is coming out and is practically the same game but 10x better

Greyzone warfare currently relies entirely on the devs servers to play.

I just can't get over the disparity between gear and setting. This is basically a Russia vs. USA scenario that somehow takes place in Vietnam. BTR-82As everywhere, AK-74s everywhere, TIGRs everywhere. NOT a single Vietnamese weapon or map asset, not a single Chinese weapon or map asset. Why have it take place in VN in the first place?! It is also very discouraging that the dev plans to release only 1 (one!) more map during the next 12 months. If anything a game like that needs a lot of maps to keep things fresh.

Yes, minus the PvP is the best part. I dont mean to be negative or offend anyone but I dont have much hope in Grayzone or any FPS that has PvP elements including atm. Even big names like Activision Microsoft Blizzard (CoD and Overwatch), Tencent (Valorant), Valve (CS2) and EA (Apex legends + BF2042) struggles fighting cheaters and hackers, what chance does a smoller indie company has ? :( Like Tarkov, its like out of control and you cant even report becouse no killcam......

I don't like how janky the animations look... but everything else seems aight

game needs alot of work (its pre alpha) ya cant shoot through windows. which is really lame. not finding meds is another issue. some of those ai will one tap you worse than a few patches ago in tarkov. also the AI really want some water lol. so far no eating or drinking and you just sell everything you find. I assume that will be change later

I don't like how the guns look way too clean for an extraction shooter. Guns should be worn down and look like they have been used before like in stalker. Atleast the gunplay is better then road to vodensky. In RTV the gunplay is horrible and the AI is ridiculous.

They probably got their texture models from photographs or renders of real weapons, that were likely well cared for and rented or borrowed by the developers
