Worth it? $15 Fishing Reel POWER KNOB Upgrade!

We have put our new fishing reel power knob upgrade on our Shimano fishing reels. It was an easy installation to do! A 15$ upgrade seems to be pretty affordable but how well do they work? Let’s test these knobs out! We are here in Florida fishing using live shrimp as bait on a float rig. This particular fishing rig can work anywhere in the world!
Here is a link to the Deeper I am using: bit.ly/2N2cM2O
Use code SENKO_2019 for 10% off your whole cart when you buy a Deeper Sonar.
and a link to the power knob: amzn.to/2YmWhyW
The Deeper sonar is a great tool for shore fishermen who want to know what's under the water at their favorite fishing spot. I could have spent a long time guessing where the channels were, but instead, I used Lakebook and made a fishing map that told me exactly how deep the pockets were so I could immediately set the depth of my float fishing rig and catch fish. It took me 10 minutes and I created a map that I can refer back to on the desktop site forever. It's really cool.

    Here in El Salvador, we eat shrimps whole(legs, shells, and tails). However, we do clean the dorsal abdominal vessels and the rectus(for healthy issues), which is located in the upper side of the shrimp abdomen under the shell.

    I have developed a good relationship with Gomexus in China. Have put about ten of these knobs on vintage surf spinning reels and they have all performed flawlessly. On their EBay site they often put some knobs up for auction. You can often get their knobs for less than $10. As a collector I try to keep the original handle, find another one and put the knob on the spare handle. This maintains the value of the vintage reel by keeping it original but makes fishing with it so much better with the power knob. I really recommend Gomexus Power knobs. Most have double stainless steel ball bearings and make a very usable and attractive upgrade to a vintage spinning reel. As a senior adult with arthritic hands these knobs make fishing much more enjoyable! By the way, I hate eating shrimp in the shell! That is really strange.

    Never had shrimp fried in garlic butter and eaten with the shells on. Gotta try that! Speckled trout has to be kept cold. It starts to deteriorate the minute it dies if it is not kept at 32 deg. OK to bleed it, but it must be immediately iced and kept that way until it is ready to cook or it will not be at its best. Agree pompano is the best eating fish of them all, but specks are close when they are handled properly.

  • @andyalvarez8672
    @andyalvarez86722 жыл бұрын

    Bro! specs should be made as ceviche, or just plain breaded and fried. For ceviche: fillet, then dice into small cubes and cover with fresh lime juice for an hour or two. Strain it, then make a pico (onion, tomato, cilantro, lime, jalapeño or serrano) mix and enjoy with fresh tostadas. Best way to enjoy Speckled trout. Provecho!

    I’ll eat shrimp like that too but my husband is super grossed out 😂 By the way, salt brining the trout might have been what dried it out a bit and gave it chewy/stringy consistency. Anytime I’ve eaten speckled trout, it’s been very tender, almost like a scallop consistency. Maybe try it again but instead of brining it, bleed it ASAP, gut it, then put it on ice and keep it COLD until cooking. Quick 15 minute soak in milk before cooking.

  • @HeySkipper

    For keeping fish I am a only catch and release unless I'm on a boat but otherwise I only eat if he won't survive after I've tried to revive him and I use barbless hooks cuz it's more of a challenge it's okay for all laws and it's safer for the fish it's easier for the fish to get off the hook and there's less lip ripping

Recently started calico bass fishing and that's been a lot more successful for me. Also, are you sponsored by Kastking?
