These jaded chillers are great. This past weekend in Chicago (mid 60s ground water) I went from boiling to about 75F in 10 minutes. I have to use a garden hose spigot in the front of my building so I have to connect about 125’ of garden hose to reach. Even with that ridiculously long distance and extra pressure drop, I’m still able to achieve that chill time. If you have warmer ground water I’d just chill using the hose until you’re close to ground water temp, then switch to the ice water to get you the rest of the way. I think Larry has mentioned doing this in a previous video.

I, too, use about a 125’ 1/2 in dia RV hose from the back of my hose to the garage.

Get Jaded to make a pre chiller from 1" copper, larger dia = less flow restriction. On cold winter days it could be placed out in a snowbank! Or use a NEW aluminum radiator and glycol for cooling in winter. 10f cooling liquid!

With my 5gallon batches.. I use a rubber made container.. set the whole kettle in a ice bath, AND use a submersible pump and coil.. so I’m cooling from the outside AND inside of the wert

If you have beer fridges with freezers you can make your own ice. Works well for me.

"Which is made out of?" "Water." Legendary comment! Seriously though. You can make your own ice if you have any spare room in your freezer.

Great and simple input to the wort cooling issue. I hope you didn't go driving after that take 😅

As a EU based homebrewer, any plans on selling Jaded chillers in Europe? I would buy the Scylla or Hydra in a heartbeat and I am not alone 🍻
