Malting Rice Part 1

Have you been diagnosed as a Ceoliac and discovered you can no longer drink beer?
I had been brewing beer for around 8 years up until Christmas 2022 when I got diagnosed with Coeliac disease!
The diagnosis was Crippling news, especially continuing on in my Obsession in Homebrewing!
2023 was a year of trial and error for me in the Gluten Free Homebrewing World.
Ceoliac homebrewers are the 1% of the 1%
of people who brew beer at home. Then a small % of these having a Ceoliac Diagnosis then pursuing the passion of malting using Gluten Free Grains.
here in the next three videos is a condensed version of what I've learnt in my short year in Malting Rice at home.
I've easily malted over 15 batches, usually around 5kg in volume, in a 10lt food grade bucket.
Enjoy the video. Try it yourself. Let me know if it's a success for you too.
Cheers
Happy Homebrewing

Maltings are done in 10lt food grade bucket with holes drilled in the bottom. I sit this bucket in another bucket (sake size) for the soaking phases then when I need to drain the rice it's all contained in the bucket. I didn't mention this in the video.
