Your second pronunciation was close! The "ll" sound is done by putting the tongue on the roof of the mouth and blowing air out of it. I never use the bedding in hotels, god knows who could be using the duvets, sheets and pillows, just freaks me out. Great video! Just a shame that Britannia kind of leave old hotels to die. Your room looked decent though, but the maintenance of the hotel seems to be rather dire.

Is there still in Llandudno , a boarding house named CliffDale , .My Great Aunt ,Cissie Tipton ran this , when my mum was a fhild , having holidays with her cousins , I'm curious as I live in nz, My mum came here as a bride who married a kiwi soldier who survived Stalag 11A , Germany. Llandudno is lovely .

These hotels were built during the golden age of steam and the Great British holiday boom. Now the rely on the coach holiday business, alas there are too many hotels chasing too little customers and saving have to be made. For the price it looks like a goiod deal. A hundred years ago there would be doormen, porters bellboys and other staff to cover your every need and the price about the same as now..

We stayed there a couple of years back the room was huge and overlooked the sea. It was absolutely stunning. No problem at all apart from the small lift which wheelchair just fitted in and felt rather shaky!

No way is this the worst hotel. I live in Llandudno and will admit that the hotel has seen better days but you can’t knock the view or the location! If you want 4 or 5 stars then look elsewhere.

The Grand was once very grand it was a beautiful Hotel with fabulous views, so sad to see its demise, I've seen afew vlogs and most show bedrooms dirty and scruffy which is not really acceptable imho, ok its now cheap n cheerful, I love Llandudno ❤but prefer a clean place to stay, at these prices it will attract hen/ stag nights then it will fall from grace 😢

I live in Llandudno. The Grand used to be just that. Now it is an embarrassment. It should have a name change; suggestions please:

Brilliantly priced not bad at all tbh I’m always weary Britannia hotels we stayed in one but the did give us our mine back it was he pits the Imperial Torquay has that view from the dining room awesome th a great video I look forward to them now till the next one 😊

They are getting better slowly but they dont have the same standards or service as other hotels. But if your on a budget you really can stretch it pretty far 😊

Its improved a lot since I last stayed there , corridors etc windows been cleaned painted etc

Been here with national holidays coach company a few years ago 👍.. but I didn't see the ballroom lol

I went on holiday there and in the room there was ants in the bed

They are really upping their game with the hallways and stuff. Looks very modern! Please do manchester and liverpool hotels!

@@wanderingwiganer It used to be big enough for just one table so they must have blocked it off. Shame the hotel get so many bad reviews as it's good value for half board with the views.

Views are to die for! Hotel didn’t seem that too bad for the price. I wouldn’t mind staying there at a push

I was told not to book this hotel an go to New Loretta in Wales as that looks better but now I seen this and it looks OK but too late booked paid for new Loretta going with Caledonian travel from Yorkshire just hope it's nice om always booking with Caledonian value for money.

i stayed in a hotel in Llandudno opposite the sea and the shower was small which had a lot of damp around the base and tiles

Not a bad hotel.
