I'm a Palace fan and in 2009 I went to Ashton Gate to see us suffer an 89th minute 1-0 defeat to Bristol City. Freddie Sears did technically score an equaliser for us but because they had old-style goal nets, neither the lino nor referee noticed that the ball had crossed the line and travelled so far into the back of the net, that it hit the metal bar running behind but parallel to the net that caused it to bounce back out of the goal. Our celebrations were cut short as the goal was incorrectly missed and play continued. Neil Warnock was probably the angriest he's ever been and Sears (a striker) never scored for the rest of his season long loan.
