Pandas only have the ability to care for one baby at a time. So when a panda gives birth to more than one, most likely the other baby will die. In captivity, caretakers alternate the babies so that both get to be hand fed and raised by the mother. They would switch the baby without alerting the mother so she wouldn't notice. I remember watching a thing on it a while back.

How can so many people end up with agressive animals 😭 I'm talking about the pigs, we have such a sweet pig. Scared to even approach you most of the time,if we gave him a baby he would probably be fine with it. He was in with some goats for awhile and he was so scared of them (we did move him, he now had a big pen and a big mud pile)

I remember watching a video that is sort of connected to this. Their explanation is that the male Hippo dont want to take care of a child that is not from them and the mother Hippo cant bear another child if they already have one. So, the only solution for the male Hippo to have an offspring from that female hippo is to just kill the baby Hippo. The mother tries to protect its child tho, but the male hippo always succeeds...

I think that if it has a brain and the capacity to feel emotions then with variant environmental factors and variances in development there can also be psychopathy of some sort present in members of such species. Think of how the guy said that such behavior of violence towards new borns seems to be hereditary.

*disclaimer before you read! I didn’t touch the damn baby bunnies lol* I wasn’t allowed to, as I was never allowed to touch any of the baby animals on the farm and they were only in with her for three days before she ate them. I had a bunny when I was little that ended up being pregnant. She had all her babies and I was so excited, a couple days later I went to take care of them and the mom bunny had eaten all of the baby bunnies heads off. And that’s how you scar a child for life lmao

Bunnies usually do that when their babies have been touched with bare hands. Reason being that they rely on their smell to identify their babies. So when you touch their babies, you introduce a new scent that makes them smell weird to the mom, and she kills them. Bottom line, don't touch a baby bunny with your bare hands, wear new rubber/polythene gloves or don't touch them at all.

@@nomad7196 nope that's true. Something like that happens with rabbits. Especially with rabbits that are throwing for the first time, it can easily happen that the youngsters are rejected for no reason. The first time you generally don't touch young animals and if you do, it would be helpful to rub the mother's fur so that your hands smell more of her.

Fantastic story... once I saw 1 crow electrified and trust me atleast 70 came from no where... situation was so bad that we need to close all the windows... this story was either exception or created for entertainment...

The tragic and insane shit is that humans do it also. These people shouldn't even be called human with the cases I've read . From the tragic Casey Anthony story to stories that my social worker friends have told me of males abusing and sometimes killing children to have more time with the mother or even the so called "mothers" leaving their children in dumpsters so they can go enjoy their youth. It's a fffffffffucking horrible world out there..😥

My bird killed her baby because it was purple in color, different than all her babies....it was my favorite bird...when I checked on the birds I thought it was the mom who got hurt but she was just ripping her baby's head apart....fortunately I took care of the baby for 5 days knowing it won't survive even if I take it to vet...rip purple🥺 I was actually really hurt, but its nature💔(UPDATE- Guys I uploaded a video of purple's life, check out my KZread channel pleaseeee)

Blues lifes it wasn’t because the chick was purple it was probably due to you not properly breeding your birds, if the mother bird was younger than 2 years then it’s likely she rejected it as she didn’t know how to handle so many chicks. Other than that it could’ve been that her nesting box wasn’t properly made or that she wasn’t getting enough nutrition. etc:

@@ryanpurrkins6860 they were all properly fed, she had 12 babies in total but not togther, purple was the last batch of her babies, they were learning how to fly, I checked all the babies to make sure none were sick, purple was healthy🥺, the unusual thing was her beak was completely black...other birds were brighter and light colored...but idk ig you could be right... the moms babies actually bred but were younger than 2 year, like much younger...she laid too many eggs and took proper care until they were born...but couldn't handle all of them properly, and I belive this is the main cause of not breeding properly....birds are weird omg

Young people don't want to have these little bastards so pregnancy rates have fallen all over the world, including China. So they've relaxed the restrictions, because young people are supposed to pay for elderly retirements, it's all about making sure you have enough people in the work force so rich people always have some scrub to clean toilets for not enough money.

They now have a much larger problem, since they traditionally use to kill off/abort all the baby girls in favour of male children they have an massive overhang of males, resulting in to few females for a large majority of males, a widespread psychological depression and the highest young male suicide rate on the planet. In addition to that their population may still be high but will dramatically shrink around 2050. Going back for 1.3 billion to approximately 800 million hand in hand with a massive aging of society. Considering all that the one child policy was a catastrophic failure for the Chinese society.

The baby storks scream as it was dropped to it's demise was the saddest one for me. You could actually hear it's scream. Awe. Poor lil guy. 😔

I remember when I was a child we had a stork nest near our house. One day the mother dropped two babies (I think she ment to drop one because there were only two babies in the nest) Me and my sister found the babies but one of them was already dead. I knew that I'm not letting the one die so me and my family took care of it. We gave it fish and frogs and probably some other food. The baby stared following me everytime I went outside because it wanted food. A week after that I realized that I couldn't keep a stork at home so I thought it how to hunt then I slowly starting to teach him how to fly. It worked and at the end of summer he was ready to migrate to a warmer place where he would spend the winter.
