In this video we look at how get your first map in a online multiplayer game (over steam!)
We go throught the stages of:
Opening TGA In Landscape Editor
Saving an LDS File
Sending the LDS And TGA file to your friends (so they can install it in their UserLandscapes folder)
Playing online! (and what it looks like if you play your custom LDS map with someone who DOESNT have your map)!
REMEMBER: Zipping the LDS and TGA File reduces a standard 13mb map to 1.5mb (ish). Thats saves around 90% Space! very useful for emailing maps to your friends!
Remember this tutorial only covers the very basics, enough to make your first map, out of photos and any other image you like.
