Nah guys, just put on Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber and they'll go away. All jokes aside. The case of directing them away is a good idea, however they would need much fuel and energy to be able to do it as they would need to direct them far away, which could be difficult and tale time considering the terrain involved (meant for the Zs) and the added amount of time and travel getting back as they would probably have to lose them. So unless they can be able to refuel the helicopters quickly on an EVA before the swarms get there and can directly get most of them, like 99% of them away than yeah it would be possible or at the least a plan that has a better chance of sucess.

What i was thinking is "Where the fuck is the air support and artillery support! and machine guns!!!" In WW1 the machine guns managed to wipe out entire regiments of enemy troops that is charging from less then 100 meters away and here in the exact same sort of defensive warfare, didn't anyone thought of putting machine guns guarding all the walls! It's so cringy how they have such a huge wall and virtually nobody patrolling it to keep an eye out except for a single helicopter. Not a shot is fired until theres already tons of zombies spilling over into the city. Some valuable time would have been saved and maybe a breach prevented if they only had lookouts and acted sooner.

David -- I know, this was a sign of very sloppy filmmaking and scriptwriting. Like they wouldn't have sentries all over the place? Drones? Patrols out to monitor the progress of all these zombies? Besides, I'm of the opinion the IDF would be going out offensively after them, turning zombies into "hamburger" with hundreds of rotary cannon (airborne and vehicle-borne) and hitting 'em with an insane number of modern flechette ordnance (guided and unguided bombs, guided missiles, and artillery shells). Each blast of a flechette (beehive) round would tear the brains and bodies of zombies apart by the dozens or hundreds. They'd not get anywhere NEAR that wall, they'd be slaughtered so effectively with modern weaponry!
