La Plomera SOHC Civic takes the record once again running an amazing 8.40 @ 158 mph at the Spring Nationals at Orlando Speedworld.
In just one year we have seen how this SOHC platform has gone from high 8s to low 8s! AND, if you know anything about trap speeds, you know that trap speed is low for that ET! we can possibly see this platform dip lower into the 8s!

Are you running a cam and crank trigger with the fueltech/ distributor delete or just cam trigger? Can you post you post info on it. I am doing a fueltech setup on my single cam with fueltech smart coils. Our coil setups look very similar

They actually reset the world record as of a few days ago, 8.35 @173mph. Turbo is a 67/65

the block is a sleeved block and if you've seen the other video, the car has gone even quicker with an 8.06 pass. the transmission is a b series dogbox transmission, using a d2b conversion kit.

It would probably be slower. It’s got a good launch as it is for an fwd car and if you added more weight with the awd setup the shorter 60 foot time probably wouldn’t make up for the back half of the fwd setup

That's my plan d16 turbo awd all d16 too no B series cr-v awd trans. I'm using a 99 honda hr-v 5spd awd trans. The hr-v of that year came with a D16w1 so basically a d16y engine. So the transmission is basically a b series awd trans but with a d series bell housing 😉.

Yeah, add weight to the front of the car to get better traction going down the track
