This fried chicken is amazing!!!
I set up my grill for indirect cooking with the charcoal baskets in the middle instead of the outside.
For the marinade
1 quart of buttermilk
1 ½ cup all purpose flour
½ cup my world famous dry rub (See below)
½ cup Franks hot sauce.
Mix that up, pour it into a 9X13 pan
Add your chicken parts (I used thighs you can use whatever parts you would like)
Let this soak for at least 2 hours, and up to overnight.
Set your grill up like I said above
Put the chicken on the outside of the coals, let it sit until it’s to temperature.
(at least 165 Degrees F)
Remove let cool and enjoy!!!
Here’s my World Famous Dry Rub
1 Cup Smoked Paprika
1 Cup Chili Powder
½ Cup Light Brown Sugar
½ Cup Sugar (Keeps everything from clumping)
½ Cup Granulated Garlic (dry)
½ Cup Granulated Onion (dry)
¼ Cup Cyan Pepper
1 T. Dried Oregano
½ T. Cumin
½ T. Cinnamon
1 Good Sized Freezer Bag
Mix everything in the freezer bag.
It’ll keep forever, but you’ll use it up long before that.
This rub is great on everything but Cheerios, and that’s debatable.
Now get off your butts
Fire up those grills
And have fun
Because
~Everyone Can Grill~

Those potatoes turned out to be the neighborhood favorite. That's why I didn't get a taste shot at the end. LOL. They didn't last five minutes. I found that if I have too much batter on the chicken it never get's all the way crispy. Good luck with the potatoes.
