There were also guys like the German lieutenant who walked over to the Allied side at 11h01 to ask if it was over, but got gunned down by a company who hadn't been informed of the Armistice. A lot of guys in hospital would carry on succumbing to wounds, and some of the other theatres like the Middle East carried on fighting for another 2 weeks.

Yeah, basically he got demoted and he wanted to prove to his officers that they made a mistake. So he bravely charged a machine gun nest single-handedly. The Germans manning the nest knew that there was a minute left in the war and tried to shoo him away, but when he refused to do so and he started taking pot shots at them they where forced to gun him down.

@@Evilcarrot507 If you're talking about the Netflix version, there was no such last attack by the Germans just before the Armistice. The Entente however continued to be pretty aggressive and did such actions as they wanted to be in a good position if war resumed (it was an Armistice, it could have been only a pause). I think in the Netflix movie they couldn't depict the Entente doing such silly last ditch attacks, as it would look like pro-German propaganda to depict such behaviour by their enemies.

Just a few minor corrections 0:39 Franz Ferdindand after the first bomb visited the hospital to see the people hurt by the bomb. Then several hours later he began to drive again so people knew that everything was fine and to show that he wasn't worried before he was going to go back. This wasn't that dumb. It would have worked out if the car didn't take the wrong turn and stopped exactly where Gavilro Princip was. 0:52 Only other full nation that kinda joined the central powers was Ethiopia which was then Abysinnia, which was pro Ottoman. Every other possible applicant were just african rebellions. 1:28 Austria Hungary wasn't the only one who fought in the battle they one. Very notably, Bulgaria and Germany both aided them and there was no way the invasion could work out without that. 5:36 Both sides kept there ships away from Jutland because large dreadnought are expensive as hell. Wasn't just the Germans. 8:20 Gemany and Japan weren't diplomatically friendly in ww2 either. Mostly just forced together. 8:46 The allies counterattacked before Germany had time to work out there logistics issues. This attack was a hail mary that had issues at every run after the initial victory.
