In the Second World War, every bond between man and man was to perish. Crimes were committed by the Germans under the Hitlerite domination to which they allowed themselves to be subjected which find no equal in scale and wickedness with any that have darkened the human record. The wholesale massacre by systematised processes of six or seven millions of men, women, and children in the German execution camps exceeds in horror the rough-and-ready butcheries of Genghis Khan, and in scale reduces them to pigmy proportions. Deliberate extermination of whole populations was contemplated and pursued by both Germany and Russia in the Eastern war. The hideous process of bombarding open cities from the air, once started by the Germans, was repaid twenty-fold by the ever-mounting power of the Allies and found its culmination in the use of the atomic bombs which obliterated Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Wait wait, there is a few inaccuracies in the Poland segment. 1. The poles weren't slow to mobilize for no reason, the allies held them back from mobilizing out of fear it would give Germany an excuse to attack. 2. There was no real recorded cavalry charge on tank and the German army also fielded thousands of horses and was only marginally more mechanized then the polish army. 3. the poles had one very effective tank, just too few and fielded too late and mostly not deployed with much effectiveness .

The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the my incredible instances of human resilience. Stalin ordered that citizens stay in the city and fight along side the soldiers. The civilian casualties from this battle is mind boggling, but in the end Hitler and his men retreated. This is a great documentary!

Civilians forced to fight bla hagahagagAhagAhaha. And retreat? No. The sixth army was ordered by hitler NOT to retreat. You want to talk about human resilience? You should mention the unbelievable bravery and tenacity of the German sixth army. They were encircled, cut off from all land supply, they then lost the airport and all air support, then their army was split, they starved, they were offered food, shelter, LIFE, and their personal belongings if they would just admit defeat. Yet they endured all of this, never submitting until their general ordered them to surrender. That my friend is human resilience. The civilians of many cities suffered, but this level of suffering is way way way worse

@SMH730 ACE OF SPADES It’s funny how you say liberals today, generalizing and demonizing all of us exactly like the nazis did. Claiming Jews were the ones causing world war 2, condemning every powerless separated individual claiming they’re part of a worldwide conspiracy while hitler was going around invading and murdering en masse (projection and whataboutism that enables atrocities). Why aren’t you using the buzzwords the right loves like Marxist (Jew) and complain about George soros (Jew), you guys aren’t nazi-like at all though! It’s not like you guys worship trump like the fuhrer. This time there will be many, many more of us that will fight back if you try that shit again. I swear on it.

The people that fought in WW2 really were the greatest generation. Every day people getting drafted into the war, or volunteering, having to deal with the shit that you go through in war is just crazy. The book Last of the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge is a great book for anyone that's interested in WW2. He gets into how they would be stuck in the Pacific living off of rations where sometimes a bloated fly would just land in your soup and you have no choice but to work with what you have or you'll starve. Check out "Europa: last battle" & 'greatestStoryNeverTold"&theBenjimenFriedmanSpeech&davidColeInAuschwitz&follow the rabbit hole. if a documentary about WWI or WWII does Not mention the Rothschild bankers and the Holodomor, then it is a failed documentary from the get-go & you can be pretty sure that it is just pushing the same old story we have stuffed at us every week.

Hi Shizzlepecks. If you are studying WWII, make sure to study WWI and the treaty of Versailles. Also, as we typed here and other places, if a documentary about WWI or WWII does Not mention the Rothschild bankers and the Holodomor, then it is a failed documentary from the get-go & you can be pretty sure that it is just pushing the same old story we have stuffed at us every week. Make sure you Learn the truth about Jesse Owens at the 1936 Olympics & how the black folk were really treated there vs in the u.s. (& what Jesse wrote about it all), the real dates that WWII started (China/Japan, Italy/Ethiopia, Soviets on Hungary, etc), the country that actually was trying (and almost succeeded) to take over the world (look at the map, it'll come to you), what person did the most FOR animals ever in the History of the planet? Why did Germany go into Poland (& why are we purposely not taught that?). What was found out about the Katyan Forrest massacre? Check out "Europa: last battle". Best of luck to you.

I agree with the sentiment. But think it is enviable, as people refuse to learn history and keep repeating the same mistakes. The authoritarian rise across the world right now is the perfect example of this. There are even camps being built in so called democratic countries. We will learn the lesson to late. And in another 86 years it would have been forgotten and repeated yet again

People saying that german was being bad since that start and the other nations should stop. But in this time didnt had any “good” nation every nation was very greed and evil. The British conquered a lot of land was one of the biggest empire if which morals he had anything to say about german expansion. And the treat only gave hitler more popularity, because german people didn’t like the treaty, even if they lost the ww1 the treaty was literally very unfair for them. So of course hittler was the biggest evil but this doesn’t mean the other nations wasn’t too. African was being r*pe for Europe, indian was conquered by England. The world was really messed up
