This is such a great idea; I love it! Some of my personal favorites are whelk egg cases, and I was a little sad they didn't get a mention - they're crazy! But fantastic video; my family is definitely going to be seeing this over Easter!

Wow! I have seen a lot of the 'weird part of youtube' but this was unreal. Really curious though, do the young of the surinum toad go through a tadpole phase even though they are stuck in Mum's back? Love your work Maddie!

It is so interesting that happens even though there is no need for them to have a tadpole phase. I guess it demonstrates that they used to have tadpoles in the normal sense before they adapted to do this mad skin planting thing. Hey if you ever come to Australia and want to look at venomous snakes, truffles or truffle hunting dogs I'd love to help!

When normal eggs are not enough xD

Not really bizarre eggs, but there's one frog that reminded me of the Surinam Toad you mentioned. The Pouched Frog has some similarities to it. The male carries the hatched tadpoles inside his pouch and when the tadpoles have morphed, it looks somewhat similar to how the Surinam Toads toadlets come out of their moms skin. Other than that, loved this clip! So much new info for me that I haven't even heard of, even though I watch nature documents a LOT. So thank you for that :)
