I really wish WSM would give the guys the atmosphere they deserve at such a high level of proffesional sport, the build up to this event was sooo quiet and under advertised. I understand that its a TV show but strongman has grown now and i think people should really be given a chance to watch it live , we dont care if there are TV segments etc being filmed throughout , its just a chance for people to watch their favourite athletes performing live and to be able to support the sport in the process by paying for it. Also, if you look at the rock climbing community, they also obsess over skin quality as they are always wearing it down on their finger tips, they have started to use a combination of chalk and a fan to get the best dryness for their skin. I think the idea is that as our skin gets sweaty and moist, it is most likely to wear/tear.

There is a difference being confidant in yourself and arrogant. Mitch has loads of confidence (as he should) but is NOT arrogant!!! Thanks for being such a great ambassador to the sport!

I suppose the consolation for Mitch (beyond 2nd place which is a huge accomplishment) is that if he won the medley he would have ended up at 52.5 points and Tom at 52. He possibly left points behind on axle, and deadlift too (one more rep gets 2 points). Meanwhile, Tom performed perfectly (and above expectation on the Conan's wheel). Should still be a confidence boost for Mitch knowing that he has Tom's number when everything goes right. Hopefully these guys don't fall into the Brian Shaw mentality of only focusing on WSM and they continue to compete often. Especially since I don't even regard WSM as the top competition anymore.
