I was never into Strongman, I thought they all of them had to be like Brian Shaw (giant) or Eddie Hall, either had to be 6’9+ and/or 400+ lbs, but then you showed up in KZread recommendation, looking like a (relatively) normal guy, and said you were the Strongest Man in the world. Then I googled you, and got into Strongman competition (watching, I barely deadlift twice my body weight, squat 1.8). Watched you in Arnold, and it was intense. Hopefully the finals here are as intense.

I feel like I'm truly witnessing the rise of one of the all-time Greats. Here's to hoping Mitch manages to avoid injuries. Been following the sport for years and saw the greatness of prime Hafthor and Eddie, saw the potential with Tom and Mateusz, but with the last few years being so stellar from Mitch I feel like I might finally be witnessing a "Big Z" of my time.

Mitchell made a good point there about playing the game. One of the reasons I generally don't like strongman comps is because of that point system which encourages competitors to half ass certain events or make deals with other competitors. I get that it's strategy, but it's boring as hell. Hopefully, the rules and point system are changed for next year.

Wish things worked out and I made it down to the coast this week. Its been a really good comp so far. Some surprises, athletes are really performing. *Edit* That public grip comp looked really fun.

Mitch is a genuinely nice bloke who has time for everyone. I spoke to him at Arnolds told him to have a holiday he works bloody hard. He replied Cayman islands. 🇰🇾 once the work is done. Probably because they’re in the states right now so they can ship it more easily through usps, I think they’ve done free shipping promos in Canada in the past but while you’re in the states and it isn’t as costly to do it in the states you might as well

Yeah there was free UK shipping when he was at Arnolds so maybe when he's at the Rouge Invitational in Scotland this year we'll get free shipping again

I don't really think you need to be wished good luck. You've got a few things more valuable than luck; namely: mad strength, an incredible work ethic, and a very cerebral approach to training and competition. But that being said, I do wish you good luck in staying healthy.

Cerebus has good one. If you are looking for just the rings at a much cheaper price then Rogue carries them for around $60 canadian

A stat from the heat results: Singleton needed 4 events to win his group, earning 22 points in the process. 5.5 pts earned per event. Hooper's number is 5.1 pts earned per event. Just the math.

You must try to invite to take part also olympic weightlifters and powerlifters. So you have competition from other disciplines again. Paul Anderson etc. had good relationship with the other strength branches. Wilhelm and Kazmaier were quite strong athletes. But leave out the Bodybuilders and Kungfu masters because they just have special forces as blowing power or punches.
