I'm a bit on the ancient side, being 72 years old, but I really wonder what the two most common rounds of WW-II would do to that body armor. Of course I am talking about the 30-06 and the 8mm Mauser.

it would pass straight trought this soft armor but a steel plate would stop a bunch of them

This is my favorite type of video from you, testing less talking…. Great information bro! I just ordered 2 of them thanks to you!
Hey Eric, I think doing an experiment regarding backface deformation would be interesting to see. Testing soft armor, hard armor, and hard armor with ballistic padding to see if there’s credence to the small inserts.

Hard level 4 would stop it but you have a high chance of severe injury or even death just from the blunt impact.
@HellZReaper134

There is a point where the velocity doesn't matter and the energy alone kills you. It's why IIIA says it stops a .44 mag and 12ga slug, because it will stop more, but it's a moot point when the bad guy has 10ga or a .454.
8:49 Hey man Grand Master Jay from NFAC said people die everyday by hitting the butt of your rifle and loading a round like that... man I sure am glad the rubber dummy had body armor and the rifle was pointed in a safe direction someone could've been killed.... Another first class video. Good job.
Nice T, good to see you test.
Would be very interesting to see these kinds of tests done on a ballistic anatomical dummy.
Doctor Eric with another armor test. Love that stuff. Nice slomotion
I love this test. There is an argument between AK and AR users over which bullet is better, but I think your test reveals a different perspective. Do you want Velocity, or do you want Joules? From what I learned, 5.56 will concentrate more energy in a smaller area and dump energy very fast. The 7.62 seems to get its penetration from its own mass but does not explode as the smaller round would. Just overall fascinating.

I love those armor test. Good job bro. God bless
When the mutant was being fired, the flash from the muzzle made it look like the ejected brass was being suspended in mid air. Very cool effect.
Being that flexible, man are some ribs gonna snap. Awesome stuff though
Been waiting for this one! Alright!
Appreciate the great content. Would love to see some flintlock and matchlock VS body armor. Would be a fun goof
Thank you so much for showing the capabilities of this soft armor. Talon sie just showed it so thank you for shooting it! Lol. Great channel!
Bought it. Love it.
Synopsis of the outcome: "It's gonna hurt!"
Man! Look at those casings being ejected in the massive muzzle flash from that Mutant... So neat. Like a strobe light 😂
I'd like to see out of date armor tested. If you can find some old ballistic nylon, (my first concealed armor) would be great too.
Awesome testing. I love that mutant!
12:00 that ejected brass looks freaking awesome
Thanks for testing... i was just going to take my chances with mine i use for work.

Wow Georgia is beautiful, I wish that I lived there and as always great fun watching your content.
I would like to see the result of a hard cast heavy boolit from a 45-70 or 50-90 or 50-110 something in the 600 plus grain weight class. That would be interesting!! Cool video professor!!
Awesome video
thank you for the video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love science, Good work!
I'm really digging that cmmg mutant... definitely gonna be next blaster I'm getting
I would like to see this test again with the Level IIIA plate added as described on the Manufacturer Website.
Here….we….go!!!
Always love the body armor reviews but when are you going to shoot some 7.62x25 at some body armor?
That’s some good stuff
Dude, the strobe effect during the mutant scene, was probably the coolest thing I've seen on youtube in a long time....
Pretty impressive stuff
I'd love to see armor shot with the sharpest 25-45. That would be interesting!
I wanna see some OLD rifles shot at some plates. Like I’m running down a dirt road and boom a get hit with a 30-40 Krag from a Krag-Jorgenson.
Thumbs up and shared. :)
Id like to see the fras plate in conjunction with a level 3 or 3a from safe life what all it will stop
- Somehow, with the lab coat, you bear a strong resemblance to Burnie Berns of Rooster Teeth.
Good video
Man on target fully automatic is crazy your aim is impressive
Chad looks so good modeling that armor 😂
I though that you would try the 308 too. But a full magazine of 7,62x39 is also a good idea.
I would love to see the results of some tracer and incendiary rounds vs soft/flexible rifle cal. rated body armor.
@hansgruber9685
3 жыл бұрын
Tracers won’t make a difference. The incendiary round would depend on what type of incendiary and what kind of soft/flexible armor.
Im disabled and obviously on a low budget, but the wife and i own lllA vests from Bulletsafe, would you mind doing a review/demo...please!
Many layers of UHMWPE is on this soft armor?
I’ve always wondered how brush guns would do against armor especially 45-70 🧐🤔
8:48 the infamous bullpup demonstrating its ability to take your head off
I watched the other FRAS demo. Please use the gel dummy for these experiments. I think it is more visually impactful.
Great video! I think you should shoot it with the Canon. Just because. 👍😁 Thanks for the entertainment
Damn that's some interesting armor. What is it made out of?
Put a can of Tannerite behind the plate and see if it sets it off.......
ZOMG! 30 rounds ended up penetrating the armor, ban 30 rd mags, keep dummies safe! Always like in field armor tests, the "plate" getting stuck was awesome.
Yes I like body armor a lot..I got some old armor in truck .it would stop handgun rounds ? 😊
“Survivability is questionable at best” the armor plate is completely shredded to fragments. 😂
I would like to have saw at least 1 shot from your SCAR 17 even though i know its not rated for it. Thanks
Looking to get some plates for my Spiritus Lv119 carrier, preferably Lv IV. If y'all got your hands on some RMA Lv IV 1155 plates to test out, I'd tune in!
I'd argue the Australian F1 is a superior SS109, but they're all close enough to the same spec. Good stuff. Might be interesting to show the effects on the body these soft plates have with one of those fancy ballistic dummies with bones and simulated organs over hard plates.
Ide love to see armor test with the ballistics dummy torso to see what it does as far as broken ribs blunt force trauma ECT to see if even the impact alone causes internal bleeding
For what you said about velocity/mass, only applies to steel. Velocity kills steel, mass is better against against ceramic/composite plates. Of course material of the round plays a huge part. And any increase in velocity, with more mass is gonna be better. But that’s the gist of it
One more comment, my CATI steel armor would it take all those rounds without any issues. This is base on the test that I watch before buying the armor. I wish you could test them too. It would be great if you can. God bless
@ 4:14 Much how snowshoes function on top of snow vs piercing through ... PSI.
I want to see a video on a d30 trauma pad. Their website says they have them but nobody has done a vid!
I would love to see someone make a straight up suit of armor out of the fras system and level 3 + plates. Like steel plates covering the major vitals and the fras armor covering all the in betweens
9.3, 45-70, Martini, Snider, Swivel Gun, Cannon. The heavy stuff.
I've been a fan since you started can you bring back gun meltdown
Way to hold onto that mutant 🥰
And for radon stuff shot at armor, remember your old vid, of crazy, old calibers, culminating in the parrot cannon? Something similar please, you didn’t have your crazy Mauser then, or various elephant guns, just along those lines, large, heavy rifle rounds, moving pretty quick, would definitely be interesting to see.
Can I get a set of these plates for testing?
You should use a stick type metal detector to verify the projectile is in there.
yes, yes, yes! that Mk47.
We need a keltec su-16 review and/or a meltdown
Oh God, that Mutant is S W E E T
Could we see a test with 300 blk and with some 77 grain OT?
When you need to bruteforce something, of course use 7.62x39 - it delivers :)
That's quite a thump
I am wandering if some 10mm underwood extreme penatrators might make it through some of these plates. Saw a video with it going through some pretty thick bullet proof glass like a hot knife through butter. Maybe out of 10 inch barrel, and then out of a 5 inch if it makes it through.
@Halal_Dan
2 жыл бұрын
No way a handgun round is going through a rifle plate like that, soft armor though? I believe the extreme defender ammo can go through.
That plate after the mutant shots looks like the pillow my dog just tore up lmfao holy shit
Can you do a review on the siq cross 308 please…
They should make a suit made of this. That covers every body part
I would like to see the new 4.5lbs premiere body armor level IV shot and tested.
Please do more videos with your 458 win mag!!!!!
The only problem with soft armor is that you are going to take a lot more impact than hard plates. Although Soft plates are very good for confined spaces and flexibility Thanks for the testing Eric! 🇺🇸
@GrumpyGenXGramps

Yeah, you’re still gonna be dead! Just from flying bone fragments puncturing your heart, lungs and arteries instead of bullet holes. Not to mention, just the impact could bruise and stop your hear or cause internal bleeding! It’s funny when folks think that just the bullet penetrating will kill you. People die in car accidents from hitting the steering wheel causing chest trauma and internal bleeding.
@fajile5109
3 жыл бұрын
@@GrumpyGenXGramps it actually bruises your lungs and the soft sponge flesh falls apart and gets sucked into the arteries where it causes a heart attack. So even if you dont feel that beat up after a crash try deep breaths or coughing then go get a chest scan anyway.
