I bet if that barrier didn't go all the way across, people would just flood around it

  • 3 жыл бұрын

Actually people still flood the 2 sides of the barriers, and that cause a lot of traffic jams at large intersections. 🤣 Luckily, this one is a one-way road. 🤣

For those of you who say they should put an underpass or overpass at this crossing, I am sure the local government and railway company would love to have it built. It just takes money they do not have. All infrastructure problems are extremely expensive to impossible to solve if you are a developing country. It's a classic catch 22 situation. Even the USA struggles with infrastructure problems.

Nah more than that, around 15 trains each shift (a shift took 12 hours) (increse to 20+ trains during holidays) If you are lucky, your shift begin at 6am to 6pm. But sometime you have to work from 6pm to tomorrow 6am too (rip sleep). You also have to take a lot of notes and phone calls, check the equipments, and if someone is stuck you have to run toward the train and wave black flag to signal them. Plus, you are not allowed to use smartphone during your shift, even when there is no train.

This is Viet Nam, and yes the only thing that is currently left behind the rapid development of this country is the rail transport system. Literally Viet Nam has the slowest railway in the world, but it’s like...who cares? The country is less than 2000km from North to South but literally has 4 airlines, and almost every city are reachable by air, and also by a very modern high speed highway system since 2016 (for those who wants to travel very short distances between neighboring cities). Plus airline tickets in Viet Nam is comparably cheap and very competitive to railway’s in term of price. Our family decided to travel by train a few years ago, we bought tickets for a whole sleeping berth just for ourselves, and boy the train was soooo slowww, noisy and inconvenient, and normally people would think that the tickets would be a lot cheaper than air travel...well...not here. Our train tickets back then was a bit more expensive, that is not to mention meals onboard that we purchased separately (we had to), yet we had to preorder those tickets for literally 5 MONTHS lol. Sure we did that for the experience but none of us could stand the way back on the train so we caught a night flight and bam! we got home in less than 3 hours with almost half the price for the one way train ticket (and a lot more comfortable too). Btw airlines in Viet Nam are very safe, although not the most luxurious (but you do get what you paid for the price and there are business options), their equipment are absurdly modern, to an extend that aircrafts like the Boeing 777-200s and Airbus A330ceos are considered obsolete and retired a few years ago. Even A320ceos built in early 2010s are being replaced by the 320neos and 737Maxes.
