That was just a joy to watch. He came in Third place in the competition that Andy Won last weekend. 55 year old innovator who is still relevant. Just beautiful!

This guy is a freestyle genius, he seems so humble too.

Most of the best in the sport want nothing in return but to show you how far they’ve come. They entertain and train at that level. But mostly watch them create. Rodney Mullen has some of the craziest sessions where Alex Midler gives his pure 100% focus to the gap, same way Nyjah perfect runs his competitions.

Gunther was one of my hero 20 years ago, when I got into freestyle! Big compliments to Braille to get these unknown innovators also in the videos! Love you guys for it.

Y’all commenting saying you loved this vid when it hasn’t been up but for 2 minutes and it’s a 13+ minute video gets me every time 😂

What a humble and genuine guy, you can tell he's enjoying it like a kid!

Definitely a legend, But i don't think i can call him the Worlds Greatest. Rodney, still to this day, i think holds that title. The Godfather of Freestyle and Street tricks, and extremely technical tricks. But thats just me.

came to just say I agree. Although, Rodney hasn't been on a board nearly as much as he used to. It could be possible he is currently not the greatest, but a little bit of practice to get back into it and he would be if not currently

So cool you had him over! The european freestyle championships actually take place in my tiny german town, thanks to christian heise who runs our local skateshop. Looking forward to seeing Guenter compete again in september

Dude is like 60 years old and spinning like there is no tomorrow. I spin 1 time in my office chair and i get nausea.....

Love when you guys pay tribute to skateboard legends that have sadly been forgotten by the newer generation. But with programs like Braille, The 9 club, Hawk vs Wolf and so on it starts to come back and the interest is definitely all time high. It really feels like Skateboarding has gone full circle.

Ricky is such an asset to Braille. Always willing to try new things, love it!

When I started skating (1987) Günter was always freestyling while we practised kickturns in the old halfpipe. Günter was always friendly and showed us how to do the tricks. I did a triple kickflip for the first time with Günter's board. That was back then in Berg Fidel at the skate park. Man, those were the days! Greetings from Münster!

This was AWESOME to see!!! Truly a man that brings joy to his style and expression. Thank you SO MUCH for this!!!! 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

That was an absolutely insane video! The quality is also top notch from the Braille team! And watching the tandem "whoseitflips to the swirly footy floppermajig" with Ricky and Guenter at the end was sick!

I was just watching his contest runs yesterday! This guy is a skate legend, and I'm thrilled to see him in the Braille house!!

So sick! Freestyle never died, it’s been hiding out in parking lots and tennis courts.

what a big smile gift all along .... thank you for sharing this moment !

No wonder Andy carries this guys book around with him. Now he needs to get the English version, or just to have been at Braille on this exact day.

Everything this guy does looks so clean it's crazy...

I remember the first time I met Gunther in the early 90s. I believe it was at a freestyle contest with Russ Howell and Witter Cheng. He did the the knee-wheelie which I automatically dubbed the Knee-Turn as it was similar to the G-Turn which I invented in about 1974. Way to go Gunther!! Gordy Lienemann

It's wild not only seeing Guenter do his thing, but it's wild seeing this absolute monster of freestyle be so soft-spoken and unassuming.

Ever since I saw Kilian martin's freestyle skateboarding videos it's been my personal favorite genre of skateboarding to watch. and honestly 6:07 is so impressive I bet Andy Anderson would struggle to do this in a day. Would love to see him challenge it

Jokes aside . Absolutely stunning new trick. I've seen his Venice beach videos. One trick to not spinning into a dizzy state is to always look down during high rotation 360 spinning. Basically at your feet. Balance can then be maintained.

This was probably one of the coolest videos this channels done, I loved that you guys were trying these tricks and making progress through them, so cool guys.

What an episode this was. Insane talents. Ricky, you absolutely rocked those tricks too well done man!

The amount of control and creativity has literally blown my mind and sent shivers down my spine.

As a freestyler myself, and as someone who'll see Gunter in person at the Euro Championships soon (can't wait), it makes me so happy to see him get wider recognition - and freestyling as a whole.

Whenever someone mentions freestyle, Mullen is immediately in my mind. It's who I grew up watching. As humble as he is, I bet you are right that he would take great job watching Gunter.

you can tell some of those tricks were pure muscle memory, he doesnt even have to think about them. its awesome that he's still pushing himself to try new tricks.

Love the old school skate tricks wish I saw more people doing them. I sadly cant skateboard anymore due to injury but my eyeballs work just fine so I can enjoy other people skateboarding still

My self included. I nvr was into freestyle tho. It wasn't dangerous enough for us. We were street shredders but we had a buddy who skated with us and shot himself in the forehead with a .44 mag and survived. He freestyle skated afterwards. We didn't see him much after. I got hurt in car accident forced me to stop. How I long to thrash but like you my eyes work fine and I love watching still.
