@@qwill8254 I highly doubt much people think Bolt would be a good marathon runner.
I saw him in Boston this year, it gives me the chills to watch how fast they go.
Wow! You can hold running a 4:37 / mile for 2 minutes >>> That is quite something since many normal people can't even do that! ... Meanwhile Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya ran a 42.195km Marathon in a World Record Time of 2 Hours 01 Minute & 09 Seconds set in 2022 Berlin Marathon! Respect & Salute indeed! 🌷🌿🌍💜🕊
For comparison . Womens Wr for 1 mile is 4:23. And he's running a whole marathon at 4:37 pace🤯
Kipchoge is insane .. he has crossed the barrier of human achievement!!
dude, thats about what my 1600 time is, and i feel like im dying by the end. hes on another level
I am seeing this video today as Kelvin Kiptum beat the record by 34 seconds yesterday :D amazing how fast they are
My pace on a good day acutally is a 7:30. lol This man is a beast.
I must my gut for a sub 7 minute mile. Can’t imagine a sub 5 minute mile!! Bravo 🙌
I can run that pace… but only a mile, eliud is amazing! ❤
One word: GOAT
Kipchoge looks more relaxed at that pace.
My top sprinting speed is only 14 miles an hour so I would have to sprint the whole marathon to be at Kipchoges level😅
i can’t even run a 4:37 per mile pace while sprinting
Absolute freak of nature, most people will never even run a sub 5 minute single mile
Now put in in numbers, I run 1 km in 5 minutes, and this man runs the double amount of what I ran 1 minute shorter. This man is literally a legend
Most people have to feel it to understand it ❤️
Kipchogue was definitely carrying the boats n the logs man
There are some places in my city that are 26 miles away and it takes me longer than two hours to drive there.
olympic marathon runners are absolutely insane
Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s also like running a constant pace of 13mph on a treadmill per mile. Something like that. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Amazing!

The physique needed for a marathon WR pace is insane. Super lean and super light. All very hard to do.

i think he got a huge advantage by having a long pair of legs which definitely helps him having longer strides between each steps making it looks seemingly effortless. also them marathon runners are literally a different breeds lol they train day n night every single day, the stamina they had really shows how much work they've done

It is insane. You can partly tell because of how high feet go behind. My 1/2 mile PR was 2:30, a 5 minute mile pace, age 40, and I almost went down at the end, hard to recover if you trip up on uneven ground. I did a 5:18 road mile race on my marathon training age 42. Now at age 55, 6:14 was the best I could do, although lower training too.
Powerthirst - official energy drink of Kipchoge's marathon record 😂😂😂😂
It’s 4.36 minute a mile now. Kelvin kiptum
Craziest part that he’s not running his fastest. That’s his zone 3 tempo

When I used to do a lot of treadmill sprints it was at 9MPH. As a reference lol
My best run was 6:17 pace for 9 miles. I probably could’ve kept it up for another mile or two but I can’t imagine 26.2 miles…
For reference, when people started keeping track of times for different distances in the mid-1800s the world record for the single mile was slower then his pace for the marathon.

I ran track in the 80’s in HS and had a PB of 2:00 in the 800 and a 4:25 mile. Pretty quick for the times, especially on dirt tracks and crappy shoes. I can’t even imagine keeping a 4:37 mile pace for more than 2-3 miles, let alone a freakin marathon, wow!!
The shoes helped a lot but still very impressive
This is absolutely insane, that's usually my pace on the last hundred meters before the finish line and after that I'm literally dead

A young person making ‘shorts’ that are actually informative and interesting, maybe the U.S. is waking up and there is HOPE.
