I stopped playing Chaos 3 to pursue DOORS back in February, I was really sick of the challenges at that point. Now I'm back six months later to finish what I started. This is probably the last greenrun I will ever do of the challenges. Last year I wasn't sure whether to redo them or not, but I'm glad I did. Now the footage has an input display, is of much better quality and most importantly, all the challenges have reached their ultimate potential.
These runs are both some of the most fun ones and also the most painful. It's fun because there's lots of different characters that will keep you occupied throughout the night, compared to the other challenges where it's usually just a waiting game. On the other hand they have brutal RNG, especially Mebird.
Optimal strategy:
Chaos 1 (101%)
- Set the audio lure on the mid-left intersection
- Farm 10 coins using the cameras and Helpy
- Deathcoin the Marionette (music box runs out at 50s)
- Farm a few more coins
- Turn off the power generator for about 2.6s
- Afton takes 1.9s to attack
- Shut both doors for about 0.4s when the office hits 99° around 0:39 and 2:58
- Avoid resetting the ventilation at 0.5s intervals
- Reset the ventilation around 0:48, 1:17, 1:41, 2:05, 2:36, 3:17, 3:41 and 4:05
- Get all 4 Mebirds (1 in 18) and select soundproof with fast cymbals on the first and third one, 60° at 2:19 on the second one and +1% on the fourth one
- Shut both doors for about 0.4s after selecting 60°
Chaos 2 (97%)
- Set the audio lure on the mid-left intersection
- Farm 10 coins using the cameras and Helpy
- Deathcoin the Marionette (music box runs out at 25s)
- Farm a few more coins and go to cam 2
- Unless you have soundproof, don't overlap the power generator with phone guy
- Afton takes 1.1s to attack
- Get rid of Freddy shortly before every other ventilation reset
- Get all 4 Mebirds (1 in 113) and select soundproof with fast cymbals on all of them
- Get fast cymbals at 3:54 or later, then click Mebird at 4:00, shut and open a vent to mute Rockstar Foxy and select soundproof
Chaos 3 (93%)
- Set the audio lure on the mid-left intersection
- Farm a few coins and go to cam 2
- Unless you have soundproof, don't overlap the power generator with phone guy
- Avoid resetting the ventilation at 1.0s intervals
- Shut the mid vent during every ventilation reset (except the first one)
- Get 1 Mebird out of the first 3 (1 in 6) and select soundproof with fast cymbals
