The greatest of all time ika nga hehhehe
i dont know how many times efren has brought me to the edge of my seat eagerly anticipating the next shot!! amazing match.
What a nailbiter! Interestingly, while I've (rarely!) seen Reyes (my favourite player) play worse (rushing things, unlike here, where he seems to be fighting the speed of the table, running out of learning time so to speak), I've never seen him make so many mistakes. Ralf doesn't appear to have an easy time adjusting to the apparently brand new cloth either (notice most mistakes are on shots where the cue ball slides/deflects), but on the whole makes the usual fine job of it. Thanks for this!
I'm pretty sure Souqet is one of the few, if not the only tour player to have a winning record against Efren. I don't remember ever seeing Strickland best him even once in a televised match. Ralph may not be the most exciting player but he is at the very highest level and if u ever wanted to pick someones game to emulate, pick his.
wow! great quality. thanks poster!
man ive got heartache to see efren play like that. hes my favorite player.
always love the vids. keep em up!
Damn! What a match! I've never seen so many mistakes made by this two professionals!!
Great upload, thank you!
that was a killer shot! reyes is super creative. he does is so naturally its sick!
To avoid misunderstanding, the latter was meant to be a response to those who believe Efren to be thrown off by Ralf's rhythm (or lack thereof). There's simply no use obsessing over distraction of any kind. To concentrate on what one has influence on is all we can do, to complain about what others do or are like a loss of time and effort. Also, one's got to admire Ralf for not relenting, for not shooting before he's made up his mind, for putting his stamp on the game, for shrugging off criticsm.
Great match. It's nice to know that both of these players are human after all. It's difficult to root for either one of these guys, only because you would be rooting against the other. Reyes and Souquet are both great competitors. It was nice to see a hill-hill match.
Why are there so many glitchy errors in the video quality of all BClub's videos? I am asking seriously, because I don't see video errors like that anywhere else on KZread. Not really complaining, just curious?
Wow! Reyes going between the 2&9 to try and hit the 1. Amazing effort.
@32KOAST Filipino fans of reyes are pool players.. Billiard halls in the Philippines are everywhere.. it's second behind basketball in terms of popularity in Philippines.................
It was great. Thanks. :)
I think this is one of the videos they had to reupload b/c of some ads in it. I'm saying this b/c i feel I've seen this already, either on youtube or on tv.
wow that was hard to watch. incredible match. excellent playing for anyone. bad playing for them. this video introduced me to Ralph, so i was cheering for Effren. that's just too bad. Still a very close match.
10:44 that was a sick shot.. damn!!
reyes is great, but majority of people who are a fan of reyes, arent pool players at all.
You mean 2006, the year it says in the description?
Trying to watch a World Pool Masters and ever few moments it's cut off and want complete any of the matches.
In the beginning of each match they do what's called a "lag" where each player hits a ball off the opposing cushion and whomever gets closer to the cushion nearest them on the way back gets to have the first break. That means they also get the sudden death breaks as well. As far as all other occasions, whomever wins the rack before gets the next break.
between the two and the nine!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!! lol
good match, i thought there was gonna be a different outcome because of the 2nd to last, but it was def clutch
In 9-Ball, after the break the first shooter has the opportunity to execute a 'Push Out' where the cue ball is moved. If the opponent doesn't like the push, he returns the shot to the first shooter.
The commentator said "Ralf is far from intimidated by Reyes..." I think that "farfromintimidated" is actually a German word.
nice! keep posting!:D
@NAMTRIP this tourney is alternate break instead of winner break
@ 11:15 how the HELL did he get between that 2-9, man that guy is nasty, off a kick lol. efren is a beast no matter how you look at it, two legends, i cant say which player i like better
souquet is my favourite player! thanks for this video! i've been waiting for a new souquet-match so long =)
wow that was a heart-pounder
One of the best pros vs pressure matches I've seen in a long time.
Even if so, I'm sure Efren would be the first to tell you that it's his fault if he can't deal with it. Also, in formats not implying alternate break, there's a recipe indirectly based on Irving Crane's old saying: "The guy in the chair can't hurt you!"
Where's the sound?
you are mistaken, it is Rodney morris, not randy
Those are 2 of my 3 top favs! And what a match? My eyes were glued to the screen, even when I was driving. I'm so :0)
the quility of the video is holy shit
..Souquet has Efren’s number for sure
i don't think his accuracy has hurt. the only thing i've noticed go down is his ball speed.
I love watching Reyes play, so I'm kind of disappointed that this clip skipped literally half of the racks. :-l

nobody wants to watch ralf take all day to take a shot
Efren once told me, he can't beat Ralph if he didn't have a good night's sleep the night before the match. lol I kid you not. I once saw Chamat and RS take 3+ hours to race to 11. It was so disgusting the crowd were almost yelling at them b/c they were holding the next session.
Can anybody explain what a "former" World Champion is?

Former world champion means some one who was a champion before but isn't one now.
Agreed. I've always had respect for Ralf's game. I saw him in the 2000 US Open straight pool finals and he was always composed and seemed unflappable. He's always respectful and a nice guy to boot.
It's nice when you like both players, because then you're happy at who ever wins.
LOVE U M TAPP
In Billard it doesnt matter which hand you prefer ;) Like Guitargasm said. Only 10-15 percent of world population are left handed. So its not surprising that most of the pro players are righthanded ;) I'm left handed too.
@Nkellbe1 I think what he meant by that statement is that it was a "nail biter" kind of game and her nails were still intact.
your supposed to watch it and get into the anticipation
This is better than porno :-) Thanks for upload BCn
can someone tell me why ralf nearly always breaks, like at the last game. how come he broke and not efren? im new to this game
this is just the 1st round..Its still Efren won the championship via 9-7 racks over Randy Morris...if Im not mistaken...
The sponsor names on the overhead view is obnoxious and distracting...
WOULD MARRY MS TAPP IN A HEARTBEAT
That REF is one Hellava good lookin lady.❤
he mention in the early interview that he own efren, by tournaments or money games?
Shot clock!!
please don't use stop action. or overhead view.
10:22 the 9ball disappears
Why do you say rigged?
@NAMTRIP - Some American pool player (I forget who) was quoted to have said, "The more I practice, the luckier I get.") Reyes creates his "luck" more often than not. And that remark about Hitler? How low can you go?
i just noticed how closely ralf souquet resembles michel foucault...
You are correct. Some people just don't get it. This was one of the best and worst matches I've seen.
@idunnowhattotype yeah, running a pool hall is a tough buisness, majority of successful ones have pros running it. I play at Shooters in Toronto and Jon white owns it. I believe he was a former world snooker champion.
I've never seen Efren play this bad.
Where did it COME from, you mean. He was suggesting to all Pinoys to hold off eating and quitting on watching the match.
@sk80soarus i think he's playing with a 314 2 shaft, dunno about the cue

Poor Efren he almost never screws up his position I think he was probably shaken up from playing someone in his league even a top rank pool player like Efren can get nervous.
@COLUMBINE1818 agreed.
Funny how people can twist a statement and make it sound negative, he was remarking about her being nervous and chewing her nails. DUH.
Archer is worse...he'll look and look, but so will Ralf. However, Ralf usually makes more shots after he has studied 30000 different options in his head.
The game is a "nail biter"....
Most people are right handed
game 14 was very strange
two of the best Pool players Mike Sigel and ? Name the old timer?! ..... Ralph Greenleaf!!!
Why wasn't it a foul (ball in hand) when Reyes didn't hit the 2 ball just before 30:00?
@sk80soarus he's playin with a Joss custom cue and a predator 314 shaft
why is so many jumping on the commentator? concentrate at the match and not a joke that you didnt understand because the joke was great! it was not an insult as you might think, he meant that she tewed them apart of nervs
Efren Sunshine wins again!!!!
gud game
sheesh. ralf takes fucking forever.. .
horrible video compression! Really annoying
true story.
@NAMTRIP u need to have the skills first before you can get lucky
11:00 Only reyes can do it...
Never seen efren play this bad
@MrMudneck He hit that cueball a tad too low.
i think ralf juz got lucky ,thats what it is,efren is the god of pool thats all i can say......
@masterswish mmm well it depends, full moon .. instinctive feelings .. ;)

@Dominic Donald get a life bitch
Im i the only player that shoots left handed?? every pro player seems to be right handed?? WHY?????????????
efren's getting old, his shooting is not as sharp anymore...7 or 8 years back, efren would never miss an easy shot like that.
skip to 5:18 to start match
Ralph is slow
don't read the comments..u dont want to spoil this one
240 we meet again. This was filmed with a potato dropped in the mud.
erm.. Why when Efren lose u all say that he played bad.He played very good but Souquet played better..
they call Souquet the kaiser?? lol epic matchup tho
