Hey all, I'm the Napoli captain in that replay. For those that are curious of my thought process during the battle: When i saw Augero on the enemy team -- who is a fantastic player (and kind dude from what i hear) -- and I saw how my DD was playing I assumed the game was a loss pretty early on. But, I've been making an effort when playing this game, and in life in general, to try my best regardless of the expected outcome, so i made a choice to conciously practice my placement and experiment with my target selection instead of just trying to yolo to "go next." I did not actually know I could pen the Kremlin's nose from that angle before this game! Watching this video now I'm proud of how much I've improved at playing Napoli -- my PR in it was like 900 a couple months ago -- but i also recognize i got very lucky in this game. The Z-52, Marceau, and Bourg all made choices that allowed me the chance to win; if any of them had done something differnt at a pivotal moment this would have been a loss. I can't help but smile and feel proud of myself seeing a game of mine on a channel ive been watching since 2014. Especially since years ago i remember thinking "I'll never be good enough to be featured by Jingles." I suppose this is a good reminder that much is possible with practice and more than a little luck! I appreciate all the encouraging comments. :)

Inspecter Gadget was originally planned as a french-japanese (DiC - TMS Entertainment) syndication of Lupin the IIIrd, called Lupin VIII. That got cancelled after getting a lot of flack from the LeBlanc heirs, the writer of the Lupin novels, causing Lupin the IIIrd to stay a bit longer on the Japanese homeland (although it was already quite popular in Italy). In order to recoop productions costs, Inspector Gadget was developed by DiC Audiovisuel, in cooperation with ex-Hanna-Barbara employee Andy Heyward (quite a switch, he was mentored as an animation assistent under Joe Barbara himself and his father was senior vice-precident at Hanna-Barbara). Inspector Gadget was inspired by the more comedic sci-fi premise of Lupin VIII, for instance Lupin VIII was a detective himself instead of the gentleman-thief his infamous ancestors where.

If you build into Napoli's secondaries they are scary. Using all of the Commander skills, all of the modules available for secondaries and the signal flag, you can get them out to 11 km and one hella fast reload. And they are very accurate. The SAP can melt down a T10 or supership DD very quickly. Also great on larger thin skinnned opponents, or BBs with large superstructures as well. She's also fast and agile -- got the rudder shift down to 6.0 sec. Her own armor is pretty good, too, and the torps, while slow, hit pretty hard. She actually has equal numbers of 90mm and 152mm SAP guns, 12 each. They have the same range, but it can really throw you watching the shell arcs...at range the 90s throw up a rainbow while the 152s shoot fairly flat.

Yeah my thoughts to, plus being a BC there really isn't enough different skills to fill out a 21 point captain anyway, hell one of the go to skills for any BC is also one of the Cruiser secondary skills(Top Grade Gunner). Think the only thing I would forgo would be the slot 6 secondary upgrade, and that's only because it's kind of meh compared to reload mod. Plus if you aren't buying Napoli for the secondaries, you're not buying Napoli, you're buying Yoshino.

You definitely can, but Napoli is infamously hard to put down but struggles with the short range for such an aggressive supercruiser with good AP performance (although supercruiser dispersion). The SAP secondary is pretty good without it anyways.

That's quite a masterful maneuver in the smoke there... (the first one I mean, the other is the DD's fault. Marceau should have ajusted to stay beyond his stealth detection range. Bourgogne was an idiot to or he should have tried the ram. Other possibility, he should have kited away towards the center of map while Napoli was engaging Marceau, still able to fire on Napoli but not in immediate danger from torpedoes, his secondaries would have ended the Napoli with those two triple 152mm turrets.

This should have been a Game of Throws video. 840 points, 3/3 caps and 4vs3 => defeat. :D

Sir! there seems to be a pile of garbage two points off the port bow! It looks very colorful. Good eye there, Seaman. We never would have noticed a floating pile of confetti.

For those wondering, that camo is from the very fun April fools event, the piñata camo which you can buy with the pinata tokens which you can earn from that gamemode and you assign to what ever tier ship it can be attached to (cant remember which tier it is from memory) If im honest i dont know why anyone would buy that god awful camo to begin with!
