Unfortunately I'm about 50000 XP away from the hognose. I was saving my credits for the Jawa, but I might still be able to purchase both if I had the piggy researched. Have to see how I feel on Saturday. I flew the Hornet last night, rolling my face on the keyboard and flopping around at high altitude while a bot J4M had a fetish for repeatedly chasing me down every time it respawned.

At mid (5-6) tiers, the German GAs are trash tbh. They're getting stronger from tier 7, and the tier 10 is insanely strong when specialised. It's like a low-altitude hunter-bomber. The Russian GAs are strong all the way down, but can be frustratingly slow up until tier 8. Il-10 is a unique beast, more well-rounded than the others. But honestly from tier 5-8 Soviet bombers are so much more fun than the Ilyushins, and they can be pains in the butt for unsuspecting aerial targets.

I can't argue with this assessment. I hated the lower tiers because you can't be self-reliant. If an enemy wanted to kill you... Then you died, simple as that. Tier VII and above becomes fun and more impactful for the match

@@icecrack4579 The Vampire is a delightful, dependable plane, and an amazing credit-grinder. It’s decently fast in cruise but has monstrous acceleration under boost and can easily reach its maximum speed of ~800kph in a shallow boosted dive, and holds its speed well. It’s got enough maneuverability to stick with anything but a dedicated turn fighter (Yaks, Spits, Ki-84s, maybe Lavochkins), and stays extremely responsive right up to maximum altitude - you can mostly ignore the yellow optimum altitude limit. The guns have solid range and DPS, and are generally dependable, although they can sometimes be trollish with the lead. It’s solid but not outstanding, out of the box. Once you specialize it and fully kit it out, it’s an extremely lethal and very forgiving light fighter, and one of my favourite to fly.

Hated this plane. Far to vulnerable to fightes, such as Mustangs.
