World Aquatic Animal Day

Ойын-сауық

World Aquatic Animal Day, is an annual day dedicated to aquatic animals and raising global awareness about these often-forgotten nonhuman animals. Aquatic animals are some of the most fascinating animals on Earth and they play critical roles in their ecosystems, but they are used and abused for human consumption and entertainment in a multitude of ways that threaten their existence and sometimes even our own. Today and every day, the Physicians Committee honors aquatic animals by working to replace their use in research and testing with more effective, more reliable, and more humane nonanimal methods.

Every living being has a purpose on this planet. Being tortured, exploited or eaten by humans is not any of them 😢

Can you imagine how bewildering and terrifying being snatched from your home and being shoved in cases and then tortured?

"The non-animal approaches ...offering a stable, scaleable supply" of what? Thank you for your efforts to help these (and other) animals. Zebrafishes are among the species most commonly victimized for biomedical experimentation. Hopefully PCRM can work to also help reduce and ideally eliminate the use of them, and to make it less inhumane in the meantime.
