Hi George! It definitely helps - I installed the 36-grit belt without it cuz I forgot I had it! 🤣

Good tutorial on sandpaper changing in a drum sander! I don't have one and I probably never will because I have no room in my shop for one and they are very expensive to buy! Thanks! Cheers Al

I have the same machine but branded by Jet. Always dread changing the paper, but now I know how to use that special tool. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for that Lisa! My Jet opens differently and is a real pain to change. Wish mine opened like yours, my frustration level would go down! Lol! Take care, Dave

We actually changed our sandpaper on our machine today. we do not have the same machine as you. I wish we did have the same one because it was a lot harder to get our belt to stay tight. Cheers

Hi Chris! I’m pleased with it, even more so since I I swiped it from my dad and didn’t actually choose the brand, etc. good thing dad’s got good taste in woodworking equipment 😃 That tool definitely helps, though I was able to install the 36-grit without it - cuz I forgot I had it! 🤣

Great video, now I know how to use that tool if I can find it. Just set it aside because I didn’t know how to use it

Hi Vern! I put on a 36 grit roll without it because I didn’t think I had any more paper and I didn’t know (or had forgotten that I’d brought it home from dad’s with the sander) had the tool. Turns out I had several appropriate grits and this tool in a box. Right on the shelf under the sander 🙄🤣
