This is such a great location to train. I love running on this track when I can. Many intense workouts done here. Stomping grounds.

I love to know there are good teachers teaching how to run so fast! In my country there are few teachers that makes something. I would like to see something like this happens here in Brazil.

Inspirational. The only Bear I knew was Kirsten O'Hara (Leetch) back in the days. It was an inspiration to watch her train as well.

The great 5k, 10k runner Emil Zátopek, built up to doing 20 by 200m then 40 by 400m and then finished with 20 by 200m. That is hard work. I get the impression that this work by these girls is an endurance session, They could be working much harder.

why do you publisise your training? Are you looking for critisisms? Doing 4 by 200 followed by 3 by 1 mile followed by 2 by 800, is variety of reps, but it not much work. If you are aiming to run them very fast, then you need to take 5 to 10 minute recoveries between the reps. try doing 10 by 200 followed by 6 by 1 mile followed by 6 by 800. or more. Have you consulted Jim Ryan the former American mile world record holder? He used to do 30 by 400m. I got Advised by the former mile world record holer Steve Ovett once. Steve Ovett did 40 by 400m.

Yeah she said she wanted to stay aerobic and yet these girls are clearly going lactic. Either take full recovery and work on your speed or slow these reps way down and jog for recovery between reps. So what they ended up doing was limited mileage that wasn't fast enough to develop their speed and wasn't slow enough to develop their aerobic capacity. This is the problem with many distance runners. Always trying to race their workouts and put in too much effort.

maybe their coach isn't very good, and doesn't know whatr hard work really is. . In my suggestion above, of 10 by 200m, then 6 by 1 mile, then 6 to 8 by 800m, the recoveries should be say, 30 seconds to 1 minutes. Or they could aim to do 30 by 400m with 30 sec to 1 minutes recoveries. That is aerboc. then follow it with 6 to 8 80 m bursts.

Yes. they do 4 by 200m and 2by 800m. yet she calls it aerobic. the reps numbers are so low, that they should be doing them flat out, with 5 to 10 to 15 minutes recoveries. otherwise they should do as i suggested above, 8 by 800m etc with 30 sec to 1 minutes recovieries.

coach is more concerned about how they feel, rather than getting them doing 30 by 300m and then 15 by 500m and then 6 by 100, flat out. an endurance work out than would hammer you. an example

maybe do 30 by 300 and then 4 to 6 by 100 fast.
