Taking a break from your task is a positive move. My father used to say, "there's no problem that a good nap couldn't solve", and he was so right! Also, taking a step back is like moving away from a window. When you are so immersed and too close, the window fogs and you are unable to see beyond. Once you remove yourself briefly, or stand back from the window, it clears up! Such is life! (thank goodness!)

A few days ago my grandchildren came to spend the weekend because their mother went into a long awaited surgery.I told my grandson Oliver about the aurora borealis we searched KZread and you popped up. You became such a healing adventure for us all. We watched hours and hours. My non verbal teenage granddaughter Sophia was obsessed with your dancing and music. Their mom is well and now .Time to watch more. Many blessings to you all.

@jonnajinton even when the day comes and Nanook will leave this earth his spirit may come back to you in another form. My aunt (a wise & spiritual woman) had a quinea pig who she really loved with all her heart. After it dyed it came back to her. Her new quinea pig had the same spirit and even walked the same paths in her apartment as the old on. So trust that Nanook may come back to you, even if he will leave for some time. And of course he will stay in all our hearts whatever may come 💚

I love that Jonna and Johan are taking a break laughing and dancing.....eating chocolate, enjoying the sunshine and music..... amongst all the work that's being done.....keeping a sense of humor is sooo crucial when taking on BIG projects!!!....nanook looks so happy that spring is here!!!....my heart melts everytime I see him get in the water, he almost looks like he's smiling!!!....you can tell he's well taken care of and loved!!!....oh my dear you have a bad case of spring fever!!!....go and enjoy yourself, take a break....rest and re-charge.....the house and everything that has to be done, will be there when you get back.....

Omfg yes ! Exactly, it's cloudy here and I got sick yesterday, I'm feeling so much better today tho I'm just having a time to rest and recover and I grabbed the phone looking for something to watch and the notification popped up and yes I literally had that sunshine in my cloudy day ❤

The music really moved me, the cello piece was wonderful. Oh little Nanook! I cried a little bit seeing how he has slowed down with age, but I love that he's still escaping and getting into the water every chance he gets. I lost 2 cats in the past 6 months from old age and I think about them every day. I love the affection between you and Johan. Even after 34 years of marriage, my husband and I are still like that. You are right; life is good, life is beautiful.

So you liked that cello piece as well. I had to check it out. It's 'Prateria' by Mattia Turzo. I've just commented that although I'm loving learning the violin, I'm now seriously wondering whether to take up the cello as well later on.... Yes, seeing Nanook was lovely; he's still got that boyish spirit about him and enjoyed his time in the water. Sorry to hear about your cats... It's heartbreaking when we lose them...

@@Serendipity-gj2me I was happily going to YT search through all the listed pieces but 'no percussion instrumental' was the first piece I tried. Have converted it to an mp3 so I can listen to it when on my travels! I'm only 18 months in with violin but really loving it despite the huge challenges. I so look forward to my practice sessions - to be able to play Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' would be my idea of heaven. Get back to me in 15 years! But cello is a big draw despite its drawbacks of transportation... Need a trial sesh!

You are so real and honest it inspires me to look within my deepest parts to better myself To appreciate the smallest things in ourselves and others that really make us alive and special. Thank you more than words can express.

"Take joy in the journey." I like that. It is how we live our lives here in our patch of forest. We're 70-years-old and happy, contented people. We've had 45 years together and our priorities have changed over that time, but such changes mean we can still learn and change. And so the trip continues. 🙂

It's no surprise to me that your channel is as popular as it is. You do a masterful job in all facets.....the imagery, the editing, the voice overs/dialog.....it's all done so well. Whenever I watch a vlog I feel like I'm watching a movie....and I'm transported elsewhere- to a different world, that I didn't know existed.

I really love how you're restoring your town. That feels so beautiful. Like all these old houses that may have been abandoned and forgotten about, all their stories, the lives of the people that lived there that may have just faded into obscurity - you're reviving them and taking care of the legacy of that little village, I really love that. I live in London now, but watching this makes me want to return to the tiny South African town where I grew up and similarly restore the houses and stories there, bring those stories to the world. Fab work!

Dear Jonna, hello from Barbados. I know it must be overwhelming, but I just wanted to share that what first drew me to your videos, and kept me watching, is seeing you work the land, and work on the various buildings in which you've lived, and painted and worked over the years. It has been therapy for me and has helped me immensely. Since watching your videos, I began to transition from a life in the corporate world where I had been sinking deeper and deeper into depression, to now making my own natural bath and body products, beekeeping and soon, growing my own food. You have been so very instrumental in helping me find life and joy again. And I say all this to say, that when you are "dirty" and "ugly" as you called yourself in this video, is when I find you to be most BEAUTIFUL, because this is the Jonna who for the past six or so years has been teaching me and showing me what I too am capable of. Much love to you. Be patient with yourself, and take as much time as you need. There is absolutely nothing wrong with finishing later than planned. All you need do is finish. xoxo

@@LordofTheFallen I work remotely and live close enough to work in Portland if I need to, but far enough away that I am surrounded by trees, beaver, and XC ski trails! Once I'm financially more stable, I'll try to move farther Down East so I can enjoy the ocean a bit more, but for now life is good:D

I can´t describe the love I have for Nanok....he stole my heart years ago... as my two dogs... that have the same age than him...I burst into tears fearing their lost... my heart will go with them when that time comes... thank you Jonna for your videos that let us enjoy the world as it was meant to be... a paradise to enjoy with your loved ones

Sweet girl, you are a working machine! The Reno on the art house is a BIG project- you are only one person and can only do so much, pace yourself. Having been your audience since your Art of stone balance video, I have witnessed the blooming spring and gloomy winter over and over every year passing by. Your life has so many ups and downs but I've never felt that you're desperate like this. I can even see every heavy step of Nanok and feel that the aging process is drawing his energy away. It could be a worse spring ever for you. But it's alright. As long as you live, I believe you can overcome all these difficulties. You've taught me finding beauty in everything even it looks awful from the outside. Just keep living, keep moving, love the journey. See you in the next video with new energy. P/s: Although this video could be down a bit, I still found it so inspirational with full of energy.

I have adhd and anxiety - and Jonna is one of the few creators I’ve seen who instantly calms me down. Your content is truly a gift to me.

It's really wholesome seeing you and johan being happy taking life not too serious. Like finding a love that feels like the first Spring in childhood💖🌺

Wow, you really have been painting a lot!! One thing that kept coming to my mind of why you feel frustrated and exhausted by all of this is that you are living in the future, not now. You are living for the magic end results when in reality a project like this has no completion, it will constantly change as your needs do. Yes, find joy in the moment. Begin to bring positive energy into your space, develop a ritual for yourself and rather than looking at an endless list of things to do, think of it as "today I bless my space with....a colorful kitchen....clean windows.....sweeping away the past...etc." Each task is blessing your space with an energy that will only increase your creativity!!! Enjoy to moment, and when you are tired, go hug Nanook and drink some tea!!! ❤ Blessings to you!

Im currently watching somebody I love losing her fight against cancer so thank you Jonna with all of my heart for your beautiful content. For a little while I can pretend that there is some beauty in this world. Thank you.

Today it is a dream workshop and living room for encounters with good people from all over the world who feel very comfortable and understood here in all the cosiness that has been created. @@jonnajinton But I also have to admit that I live close to the city, all paradises such as OBI etc. are in the immediate vicinity and it is therefore somewhat easier to get building materials, upholstery fabrics and tools. This is probably a bit more difficult for you or involves long distances. Dear Jonna, you achived more things in 1 month than other people in their whole life! This world is in need of much more Jonna´s! Keep on doing your great vlogs on this channel. For so many people, they are precious. We hug you .

It is so easy to be swept away by your beautiful still energy, you bring it into every video in a way that feels so effortless and authentic. I always find your videos so inspiring and grounding, a reminder to slow down & not take life too seriously. I have been questioning my sanity lately, stuck because I fixated on an expectation that is now falling at my feet, I created this frustration for myself. When I saw your video pop up I felt it was exactly what I needed. I was thinking, let me watch a little bit of Jonna, I wish I could have the same open minded care free intuitive mindset so that I didn't get myself in these situations... and then I see you are experiencing much the same as me. Well, this was a new kind of refreshing and grounding, I am not crazy, we are not crazy, we are just human and all just doing our best. Thank you Jonna for being so bravely vulnerable!
