Working 'Big Joe' and THIS Happened! (Bison Handling Behind the Scenes)

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Thanks for watching and supporting the herd! This was a really fun mini series / mini documentary to make. "Working Big Joe Documentary: Bison Handling Behind the Scenes" was filmed in the spring of 2021 at Cross Timbers Bison Ranch in Oklahoma. Today we learn about the process of working Bison and revisit some never before seen "behind the scenes" action. In this video you can see him tear up the new gate before we are able to get him in the corral system and squeeze chute. Luckily our Vet Doc Parsons encouraged us to keep working him because he eventually gets his weight and vaccines in the next episode. Stay tuned for part 2 and 3!

Such MAGNIFICENT creations of God. Just amazing how HUGE Big Joe is. Wow. I know I missed my calling to work with animals. Being stuck at home really makes me understand the meaning of what life or how life is supposed to be. And looking at these huge creaturs helps me understand once I am able to get past surgery/recovery end of the year, I am going to search for volunteering to help people rasing and protecting any animals big and small. Thank you, Dusty. Blessings to you and your family. =) One thing I notice when Big Joe is spinning around. He wags his tail all the time! So it is like he is having fun with you at some point. Like haha dad you ain't the boss of me!

My mom was bragging about her ability with horses but, when she got on him he kept going back into the barn. The horse was brought out and then it tried to scrape her off by going close to a pole, before bringing her over to the steps to get off.
