Funny that one of the choices for dessert on UK menus is often biscuits and cheese so this strands really didn't work for us ( OK I did get it though). Our biscuits are crisp and brown , not like these American biscuits and gravy !

I think you are correct Kenny that the pun in the clue is the family are " hanging together " using a thread of texts. I think mare is Latin for sea so maritime means connected to the sea eg a maritime climate ( = mild). Aren't the easternmost Canadian provinces called the Maritimes ?

amazing Wordle solve today! I'm glad you are feeling better today!! I was able to get the crossword today eventually, with enough of them to guess at them but today's felt tough! I guessed both "OOO" and "out" before "off" for 1 across, I definitely have never heard of "floes" before, and I'm always bad at the word play clues, so it was a tough one for me 😅

🎉CONGRATS, KENNY!! 👏🎶 (Wordle) Actually, 3 of the 4 names in the purple Connections were Bands. Only "Mine" isn't. If they all had been,, my feeling is that this would be a valid answer. So close. I had something similar happen a week or so ago, when Omen, Birds, Ring, and Fog were Bands, as well as being horror movies. I gave myself the point. Glad that you are feeling better. ❤😊
