Woodworking project - Charging station!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week I show you how to build a Custom charging station. It features half blind dovetails and walnut drawer fronts. The case is seamless from mitred comers and splines. Great weekend woodworking project!!

I'm watching woodworking clips all the time. But there was a short moment in that video that made me rewind it few times, to watch it again and again. I would like to thank you for "no sound part". This piano music and close look on that dark wood cuts. I could watch that whole day! Seriously, this was beautiful. Work & wood, nothing else.

I love the way you are happy to talk about the good bits AND the not so good bits. Makes us all feel better about our woodworking. You must have been wearing those tinted glasses, though, when you chose that blue colour for the popple!!

Nice job Ryan, love anything to do with better organisation. You could retro fit a raised cover on the back that just hooks on two screws to hide the cables, which would be good as you would have easy access. Any how as usually a great video!

Nice job! I did a video on my channel for a charging station using some custom USB sockets/power supply modules to do something similar. I opted to build in pockets that let the devices stand up for quick grab and also, you can see when you have an alert, even when they are silenced. Enjoyed the build!

Drawer slides look good using that technique and the screw to set the final drawer depth is a great idea. Just a thought from other youtubers, when planing the long boards at 4:07, try keeping your arms locked and use your body and legs to drive through as the plane carries more momentum and won't get as stuck towards the end of the stroke. I'm still practicing but seems to make a difference.
