Beautiful goblet. Super job. No wings, no tape, no multi parts. I love it!

There's a reason you made me fall in love with making goblets, Mike. You belong on camera and I'm so very glad you're back, regularly.

Thank you for your kind words Jay.
Mike, you remain the “IMPERIAL” wood turner! I watch your videos as you publish them. I also watch other wood turners, but they do not hold a candle (a correct expression?) to what you do. You are amazing, my friend. Keep publishing your amazing art! I learn new techniques with each new video!❤

Beautifully simple goblet Mike, thanks for sharing. I've not done any burning for a while, may just give it another go. Thanks, Mike

Mike! Guess what I pulled off? I now am the proud owner of (2) Simon Hope negative rake scrapers. I am going to also add in one of his detail tools. I bought one handel for both of the scrapers. It’s a funny story. I watched your video from back in the day when you did your announcement about Hope Tools. I really follow what you say. I watched this Youngblood German kid doing a demo with the Neg rake chisels. I was in the hospital and was watching a ton of your videos. Thats when I decided I wanted to be just like you! My professors from Oxford still are rather ummmm, appalled? I hold my doctorate from Christ Church College / Oxford. Yeah I know. But my undergrad is in Technical Woodcraft. I worked my way thru college swinging a hammer. Now I turn sitting in a wheelchair. I am the same dude that tried to get the free Piller Press from AxMister. So I drag your good name behind me or in front of me for whatever I am trying to get things done in Great Britain. God Save The King! Ok, thats all for now. You know what you could do to help me out? Try to get me one of those big round Hope Tool stickers that you had on your lathe at one time. It was round and white. After we move into our new single story home I am going to buy a new lathe made by Robust. The Scout. Man oh man they are EXPENSIVE! Well Done Mike. Well done indeed! TS, Portland

Nice one ... hope you enjoy using them. Cheers. Mike
Muy bonita pieza. Gracias por compartir tus trabajos y experiencias. El detalle de que la grieta se cierra al enfriarse la madera, no lo conocía. Gracias! Un abrazo! Germán, Lomas de Solymar, Uruguay

Very nice piece Mike. I really like the approach you took to burning the piece -- just a light touch; so many of the burned pieces one sees have been completely blackened.

Nice one Mike. People do seem to like goblets. I made some miniatures about thumb size. & my Mum stole them 😂. Keep up the good work buddy.

Hmm. Not sure if the torching actually helped the look. Nice shape on the bowl.
