Just a suggestion: get another forstner bit of the same size, and grind off the point. Then use the one with the point to start the hole, and the new one to finish it in the hole made by the first, and you won't have the ugly little dint in the middle any more...
Glenn & Liza great wee project mate well done and you never wrapped you knuckles

The word unique doesn’t require any additional verbiage. Either something is unique or it’s not, it can’t be ‘very’, ‘really’, ‘super’ or any other type of unique
God you turn so well & so fast if I tried that I would have got a huge catch Regards Steve UK London

Yes defo Michael. I have got vids where I did it with the 9mm. Use it exactly the same technique. Don't change a thing.

Was that dried wood?
@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308

Yes it is seasoned wood.
I've seen lots of comment on other such videos about safety, and the need for a glass or metal separator between the candle and the wood. Is that not a concern?

How someone uses the item is down to them. You can get battery tea lights nowadays so if someone is worried, then I guess they should use one of those

That's why you get home insurance, just in case it burns down to the ground.
That's a lot of work for something that doesn't seems to yield much money....

That's the size I had and size I wanted to make it. Use a smaller piece if you want. Up to you.
