More scrap wood projects. In these woodturning videos I am doing woodturning projects with scrap wood to give you scrap wood ideas. Subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on these scrap wood videos. In this wood turning video I am making a box of sorts with leftover scraps from a construction site near me. This is a great project for turning scrap wood into cash. All of these are scrap wood projects that sell. This project is made from a 2x2, 2x4, and a 2x6. These are also great woodturning projects for beginners because it helps you to learn woodturning tool techniques for basically no money out of your pocket because this is all free scrap wood. This project was sanded from 80 grit to 500 grit sand paper and finished with friction polish.

Ok, I’ll say it. From watching so many woodturning videos, I felt like “Pavlov’s Dog” when you abruptly slowed down the video. I was saying, “No, No, No!” and thinking a catastrophic catch was coming… both times. 😂 Well played, sir. I really enjoy your videos and your projects.

Thanks! I guess even scrap wood can have surprises. I appreciate you watching!
Very unique. Good idea duplicating the lid curve to the base curve. I'm going to try it, too.

@@RcWoodturning Not perfect is why we turn. Machines make things perfect and far from unique.

I've always been a perfectionist. It leads to disappointment. That's one of many things I'm working on.

@@RcWoodturning The wood has imperfections (features) and that's what makes it interesting

@@kenvasko2285 Ya, it's always fun to find ways to enhance those features.
I like your use of bits of scraps safety tip , get rid of the gloves , wear nalgene exam gloves instead of you catch your glove in a spinning project your hand can be pulled between the wood and tool rest causing painful injuries and broken bones A friend of mine .also a turner was wearing chore gloves when his right hand was pulled into the bowl Broke his little finger in three pieces and needed three hours of reconstructive surgery and three screws to rebuild his finger and over six weeks to heal Nalgene gloves can be purchased in boxes of 100 for under $15.00 and if caught will tear away and not pull your hand into the spinning wood
